Who has the potential to become the best quarterback in this years NFL draft?
I'm biased, but the answer is Tyler Wilson. Barkley played against subpar defensive competition in the Pac-we-don't-play-defense, plus Lane Kiffin is a known quarterback destroyer. Wilson faced NFL defensive linemen on a pretty much weekly basis with a below standard offensive line. He's proven he can take a shot and get back up, which is kind of important in the NFL. Not to mention the fact that Barkley has decided not to throw at the combine, which is a little suspicious given that one knock on him has always been arm strength. Wilson is smart, tough, and driven. Again, I admit that I'm biased, but USC seems to put out "great" quarterbacks every few drafts, but they all wind up being Mark Sanchez or Matt Leinart in the League. Most of the best NFL quarterbacks didn't play for great college teams, i.e. they learned how to take a hit and work with what they had on the field with them. See: Roethlisberger, Eli Manning, Brady, Breeze, ad nauseum, ad infinitum.
Yeah i agree hundred percent but no matter the quarterback its a weak class though
My guess (as that's all it can be right now) is Ryan Nassib out of Syracuse. He's got solid size and a rifle of an arm. With further development on his technique, I can see him being a 2nd year starter.
Not the most gifted of athletes, but he made Syracuse relevant again. That's saying something, given their recent history.
E.J. Manuel Florida St. The guy has a rocket arm saw him heave one 70 plus at a skills show this spring also more elusive than you think. If you look at the premier arms in the draft Nassib, Wilson, and Glennon Manuel has as much or more "arm talent" and a much better athelete than the rest.
its a good point but does he have the knowledge to read NFL defenses, and the arm accuracy? He does have a great arm though
Has very good deep ball accuracy and is improving on the intermediatte routes. Has a lot of starts under his belt and a proven winner. In all honosty I think reading defenses is gonna be a huge question with a lot of the guys coming out this year.
I 'll throw a "dark horse" to you Cooper Bateman. This young man is 6'3" tall and comes in at 215 lbs. His arm strenght is a lethal weapon and he can really pass the ball with zip on it. He's Nick Saban coached (BAMA) and when pressured can run like a deer to get necessary yardage. Keep your on eye on him Billy. And Oh yea he runs the 40 yd dash in 4.77 seconds with full gear.
I don't have a clue, actually.
Of course, a year ago everybody would have said Andrew Luck or RGIII and not been wrong.
Funny nobody answered one of the quarterbacks who are likely to be taken first in this year's draft, like Geno Smith, Matt Barkley, and Mike Glennon.
Yeah, taking a quarterback is really a crap shoot this year. It's going to be tough for team's in the top half of the draft to spend that pick on a quarterback. I predict the Arizona Cardinals will take the plunge first and with their #7 overall pick take Geno Smith.
Anything the cardinals get at QB will be better than last year. But more importantly they need to improve their line. That team isn't far away from being a contender.
I think the Cardinals will dump Kevin Kolb and his money that is hurting their salary cap situation. Knowing Bruce Arian's from his Steelers days, I think he wants to start with his own handpicked guy, whoever that is. He also wants Mike Wallace.
I wish the steelers could keep MIke Wallace but that won't happen. Todd Haley killed the Steelers offense last season
Are you a Steelers fan? You look intelligent.

What is your all-time favorite NFL draft what-if?Did you know the Chicago Bears could've traded for Howie Long in 1983? The Dallas Cowboys had a clear sight at Randy Moss in 1998. Throughout history the NFL draft has been chalked full of what-ifs. Which is your favorite?

This guy told me to chill out on my criticism of Joe Flacco. What I criticize is his 77 quarterback rating. Someone says that Flacco is better than both Romo and Eli, I say no way he is better than neither. I think it's close between Romo and Manning I think Romo puts up better numbers but Manning...

Was Joe Namath with the San Francisco 49ers the greatest quarterback of all time? There have been many great quarterbacks, but Joe Namath was an eagle eye with a deadly aim and a scrambler. Was he the greatest quarterback or was someone else better?

Here's another arrogant guy. How will he make it in the NFL if he is grabbing at his shoulder and rolling around on the turf?????? Let's start the anti-Bradford fan club here.
