How to open command prompt and find IP address in Windows 8?
Can someone please explain this procedure?
just type "cmd" when searching for programs and files and that will bring up cmd.exe, the command prompt window. You can create a shortcut to it on your desktop.
To find your IP address, you can visit a site such as
http://www.whatismyipaddress.com
and it will display it on the screen. It also allows you to look up the general locations of other IP addresses, and identifies known proxies. I find it a good tool when investigating spam on my sites.

Just press ctrl+r in the window 8 and after that a pop-up box will appear. by using that you can find simply IP address with the IP address command.
