   What happened  to Chris Hansen and "To Catch A Predator"?
   
   I was watching a parody on South Park regarding Chris Hansen. I am curious now.  What really happened to 'To Catch A Predator' ? I thought it was a show that was helping children. I thought they were trying to take predators off of the streets. A guy committed suicide and he was a prominent person because he was caught. I guess they didn't want this stuff exploited any longer. But, we have COPS on television and BAIT CAR.?

      Chris Hansen's celebrity status has died a gradual death since the incident in Texas.  After NBC fired him, fans of his made money contributions to him to help him revive his television show this time on YouTube in 2015.  However, he was unprepared for the overwhelming costs that taking on such a project would involve and he ended up in over his head financially.  Then his television show on YouTube fizzled out financially, and he found himself having confrontations with the law over money he bilked others out of.  He looks very unhealthy these days.  He's supposedly making videos himself on YouTube regarding the same subject matter as before, but he's not doing very well and he's not getting any younger.

   I don't know what happened to that show, but that is one of the greatest shows. I think it's still on once a week, though.

   Texas DA Louis Conradt's suicide probably did get the show cancelled. There are actually people who were trying to help predators by complaining about the show. Conradt's suicide while the SWAT team was serving a warrant for his own pedophile activities was the straw that broke the camel's back for the To Catch A Predator show. He committed suicide with the SWAT team outside most likely because he knew he was guilty and preferred sending folks to jail rather than going himself. If he was innocent, why not have his day in court like everyone else?
   
   However, if the many other innocent until proven guilty types on the show were not pedophiles, they would not have come onto the radar screen of the show as such. If you have no interest in young girls or boys, you would not carry on with them in any way shape or form, online or off. I like the show and while I've only seen the re-runs on CNBC, I hope the show does make a comeback.

      You are correct.  I like your answer. I don't care if DA Conradt committed suicide.  There are people that appeared on COPS and they handled it well.  You commit a crime and if it is exploited, then you should deal with the consequences.
