Suffocate or jump?
The horrible things that happened on 9/11 made some people feel as if their final decision in life would be to either suffocate and burn to death or jump. What would you do? What does your belief system tell you to do?
Wow you do ask the hard ones, don't you? Until I was in that situation, I am not entirely positive what I would do. I am absolutely petrified of heights and I wonder if faced with eminent death, if I could bring myself to jump. I honestly do not know.
Wow, that is a tough one. I would jump. Not jumping is pretty much certain death. If you jump, and God willing, there may be divine intervention, you might land somewhere and live, not break every bone in your body. You would never know unless you jumped.
This is a really deep question. I have an issue with suicide as well but in a situation like 9/11, more than likely I would jump. I'm sure most of us would like to die as peaceful as possible. Suffocating in a burning building is a horrible way to go. I'd jump and what ever seconds I have left, I'd pray for forgiveness.

Many judged a man for his oddity. Now, this man is deceased. Suddenly, those who thought him guilty of public accusations charged against him-suddenly these same people who judged so freely-they love him. Did the public wrongly judge? Is the public too cruel? And, will we, the public, be kinder due...

Why decide on euthanasia, when palliative care relieves pain?If palliative care relieves physical suffering, affirms life and regards dying as a normal and spiritual process, then why consider a "mercy killing?" Is it actually fear or depression that truly causes a person to want to die...

If you were left all alone on an island, and there was no way to escape, would you kill yourself (keeping in mind there's a noose in one of the rooms)?

I believe this simply because it appears that everyone is looking for salvation. They are so afraid of life that thier only choice is to look into what appears more pleasing. So what can be more pleasing than having to live forever. (as if that were so much fun) I would hate to live for ever...
