Are you a DC movie fan or Marvel movie fan?

In light of the recent Superman movie and Iron Man movie, which universe has your interest. Marvel has a bit of a head-start on DC with the Avengers, but the development of the Justice League in the near future could also make for some great movies.

I am a DC fan.  I love the characters of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman.  They represent pieces of who I am.  I am licking my chops for a Nolanesque Wonder Woman movie and, of course, Justice League movie!!!!

I am definitely enjoying the darker, more real-world feel that Nolan brings to the table.

I am more a DC fan than anything. I love Marvel comics AND DC...... but the "bright and colorful explosion" that is most Marvel movies is just not for me. Some ideas just do not transfer well on film.... look at Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan...... I love him as an actor and I love the Green Lantern, but come on....... yikes!

Same with Brandon Routh as a Superman who hardly kicks any butt.

I felt they missed some of the mark with Man Of Steel in character developement and went to a butt kicking extreme to do away with the memory of Routh, but if they fix some of that and maybe even show Supes as struggling to come to terms with what he did to Zod, his only connection to Krypton..... I think the next few steps could be awesome!

I also think they could Google "hubpages Bringing Cinematic Justice To The Justice League And The DC Universe As a Whole Part 1" and then rinse and repeat with parts 2 through 4......... that wouldnt hurt I suppose ;-)

Yeah, there definitely needs to be more character development and definitely a green lantern reboot. Each member definitely needs a solid introduction before the connections are made, and I think Man of Steel did a decent job as a intro.

I don't know about reboot..... I think that, as I said, some ideas do not transfer well to film and with the Wonder Woman, Green Arrow and Flash origins as is, it could make for a collective total of about 45 great minutes on film, but that's all

The Avengers is one of my all time favorite movies, thanks to a smart business model at Disney and Joss Whedon's signature writing style. Having said that, I grew up with the Christopher Reeve superman films and so DC will always have a special place in my heart. Not to mention the Dark Knight trilogy which completely redefined what a super hero movie could do.
