Well, I am unfortunately trapped in Ohio, so weather changes happen all the time. I guess the blizzards of 1996 and 1998 were very memorable because of the high snowfall in a two day period. However, the snowfall was higher than recorded since the idiots in this part of the country record Cincinnati's weather from the airport in Hebron Kentucky. So, the weather records for Cincinnati are never correct. The record showed 15 inches fell on January 6-7 in 1996 and 18 inches on February 4-5 in 1998. There was more snow where I live on the west side of Cincinnati. I never even saw a cop on the snow covered roads. Believe it or not, I drove a Mustang in the blizzard of 1996.because I made a promise to show up at a club where my friend's band was playing. Yes, it was crazy and risky. The car belonged to my girlfriend at the time and she did not say to stay home, probably because she got the weekend off and we planned to go see them play. I thought that the expressways would have been worked on so that people could at least get home. I was wrong and did not know how bad things were away from my street. I found out after barely getting through the snow but I was far down the road near the expressway before I learned there were no workers, plows, trucks, bulldozers or anything else out there. I could not see where the expressway lanes were or anything that separates them. Mustangs, especially those from the early 90's, are not good in bad weather and are low to the ground. I was always a good driver but this was insane. However, I somehow drove 17 miles away on abandoned roads in the blizzard. So, there were no cars and no lanes to be seen. I was moving as fast as I could through the piled snow and having to swerve back and forth sometimes to keep moving so that I would not get stuck. I could not believe I made it to the club in that disaster. I was a little afraid of getting stuck since no one had cell phones and it was a long freezing walk through tons of snow to find a house. It is strange being the only two people on the expressway. It felt like the end of the world and no one was left but me and my girlfriend. Just in case you wondered, there were not many people at all in the club. Those who made it to the club were people that lived near by and either walked there or were the few that came in a giant truck from only a mile away.
