   If I start a blog with my birding pictures at Boomer Lake would people be interested in viewing?
   
   I would also have some commentary and music that would be related to nature.

   I suppose that some people who are moderately interested in birds or Boomer Lake might view it. That is if they somehow find a link to it...or aren't already watching birds instead of being on the internet...otherwise...nah...

   Deb, I'd love to do that...if I could.  As you know, time seems ever to be in short supply in my world, so much so that I'm lucky to manage to drop by your Hubs once a month--and I do mean lucky, because they are beyond awesome.  There's never a page of yours that doesn't leave me thinking, "Wow."
   
   If you were blogging with the addition of commentary and "related music"...yeah, I might actually make the effort to prioritize things a bit.  Your stuff is part of my R&R.  So if you DO go ahead with a blog, by all means please drop me an email letting me know where to find it.

   It is a great subject. I think people would follow the blog. I have learned through my own blog that the hardest part is getting people to discover it. Mine is a niche though. Nature is something we are drawn to and love. I think it is worth trying.

      That's what I was thinking.  I post more photos on my Facebook page.  I will still continue to write and publish on Hubpages, but this will be a bit different, and naturally, people will be able to comment on their own areas of the world.

      No, just doing this on HubPages, which is not a blog.  My plan is for my own blog, with select photos.  They will be for sale.

   As with Ghost, I wouldn't have time to check in as often as I'd like to. I say go for it if it's your passion. Perhaps your blog could be linked to a regional bird-watching club or organization.  I would befriend you on FB.  Hyphenbird is right - it's a matter of  discovery by others with the same interests.

   maybe the question isn't "would people be interested in viewing", maybe the question you should ask is "how can I (the blogger) get people interested in viewing birding pictures?"
   
   Its a great challenge to take on - if someone finds their way to my blog about birding pictures, how do I get them to want to come back? maybe you can be very educational and provide detail about the birds that you see, and the eco-system at Boomer Lake? maybe you can include some videos and links to other great birding sites that might spark some interest for people? maybe don't limit yourself to just Boomer Lake, but include other nearby sites that people can go explore on their own. Certainly invite questions and comments that can lead to discussions with readers.
   
   You've found a  topic that is of great interest to you, now you need to determine how to get other people interested in the same topic as well.

    Deb, I love your photography.  I also love bird watching.  It would be a treat to see the pictures and to read the information on the various birds.  Hope you are doing well.  I'm very busy these days, but I still get a little bird watching in.

    I think it is a great idea. NCHammerhead had some really good points. If you have a local Audubon or other outdoor group there, I suspect they might be interested as well, and maybe a garden club you could notify about it once it is up. Ypu write very well and your photos are great. I think it is a really good addition to your HP work.
