   It's impossible to choose just one, so here's three of the worst films I've ever seen.
   
   Manos: The Hands of Fate. Literally translated as Hands: The Hands of Fate, Manos is an ultra-low budget and very obscure film brought to light by the fine folks at Mystery Science Theater 3000. The plot, if it can be called one, is about a cult leader, his satyr-like servant, and a family that get lost on a desert road.
   
   Van Helsing (2004) - Starring Hugh Jackman as the legendary vampire hunter Van Helsing this film combines multiple famous movie monsters into a horrible mess of a plot. Abbot and Costello meeting the Universal monsters manages to be more frightening and less damaging to the legacy of monster movies than this movie. Van Helsing remains one of the few films so bad that I never actually finished the film, I turned off my TV, set down my remote and walked away.
   
   Twilight (or any of its sequels) - Boring, uninteresting, bad scripts, bland characters with no chemistry and makes a mockery out of vampire/werewolf folklore. Even the action sequences aren't well choreographed enough to raise your pulse.

   My wife is a "Twilight" fan so unfortunately I've had to experience the entire series of films. I now understand why animals, when caught in a trap, will try to gnaw off their leg in order to escape.

      I thought "District 9" was actually a pretty clever flick. A very "Twilight Zone"-ish apartheid fable told through a science fiction filter.

      I totally agree with Thief & FatFreddy. District 9 was an innovative and extremely well produced movie. As well as its obvious satirical/social commentary undertones it was a most novel spin on the well worn 'alien invasion' themed movie.

      Yeah, I know a lot of people liked the action and whatnot... but I just couldn't get into it. Hated it all the way. And I was a fan of the 80's cartoon. But yeah, I usually find myself alone in that one.

   I've been wracking my brain trying to watch a movie I saw at an international film festival in Thailand back in 2008. It was about the three magi who brought gifts to Jesus. It was horrifyingly boring and absolutely silent...which made it all the more painful, as the director and producer were in the audience. People in the crowd were either trying to hold their laughter or their impatience, doing their best not to offend the filmmakers. Most ended up walking out, including my wife and I, but we made the bad choice of waiting 45 minutes.

   Punch Drunk Love... hands down the worst movie I've ever seen all the way through.  And I paid to see it in the theater! My friend and I contemplated walking out, but couldn't justify wasting the money.  Totally weird and unsettling.

   Worst movie ever made, in my opinion, is a movie called "Marina Monster" (2008). I have spent a lot of time watching craptaculars and nothing really even comes close to this abomination.
   
   Runner-ups include "Pleasures of the Damned" (2005), Shockwave (2006), "500 MPH Storm" (2013), and "Against the Dark" (2009).

       I don't know if it is still true but it was the biggest money loser for a long time.
       The biggest money loser before WW was Little Shop of Horrors which I thought was a great movie (I'm talking the big budget version of course)

    I think, hands down, the worst piece of cinema I've ever seen is the Human Centipede 2. Why I watched the first movie, and then the second, is a mystery to me. I think me and my wife saw it like a train wreck and just couldn't look away after it started playing. While the first movie was disturbing, it's done in a 'look at this crazy mad scientist' way, which is common among b-horror movies. The sequel, however, pushed all the wrong buttons for all the wrong reasons. I've seen a few of the 'torture porn' genre films like hostel, but this one went so far that they had to show it in black and white to diminish the severity of the gruesome acts. During the final sequence of the movie we had to shut it off.

       I love horror flicks but I've avoided the "Centipede" films... the whole concept is just a little too, shall we say, "out there" for me.
       Apparently a third "Centipede" is in the works... you've been warned.

       The first one wasn't a bad film. For all the bad rap that the premise gets, I found it surprisingly tame. Plus, the dude that played the doctor did a great job. I haven't seen the last one, but I've read it takes a meta approach to the first one.

       Yes, the second one is about a guy who becomes obsessed with the first movie. On it's own, I don't hate the meta concept, but the execution just went too far for me.

    Probably James Cameron's Avatar, because it was set in a world I didn't care about, with characters of zero personality or traits, and a plot that made me scratch my head thinking "so when does this movie start?" Perhaps it's not my kind of movie, but when I want to punch the main protagonists in the soul, it's a bad movie full stop.
    
    Either that or Hostel - it's an insult to sadomasochists everywhere, but the first film was somewhat decent.

       I wanted to see it at the megaplex in 3D but I was living in Colombia and recovering from a broken ankle ligament so housebound for 3 months. I never saw it replayed in 3d so I've never seen it.

    Haha Okay the worst movie(s) i have ever seen (and this took a lot of consideration) would have to be the "Fast and Furious" movies. some of my friends are big fans of the muscle cars and the half naked ladies but if i want to drool over muscle cars i could just watch Top Gear which is ten times more entertaining than any of the "Fast and Furious" series. I'm not dissing Muscle cars and action movies, personally i think Muscle cars are pretty sweet but the story line and the acting in the Fast and Furious are a little too cheesy for me. however going with a group of friends to go see it isn't that bad but i would never recommend them to others or watch them again by myself. ha

       Interesting, this is the second time Transformers were mentioned. I don't really consider it that bad, but there's clearly something to it. Can't argue with Blair Witch Project though, definitely one of the worst.

       When I bought the DVD I thought my kids might get a kick out of it. After watching the movie by myself I decided not to show it to them, because the movie is so bad that making them watch it might be considered child abuse!!!

       It's from the 1960s and made in a south American or Central country.  I had a book called The Book of Lists and this movie made the top ten worst movies.

    In no particular order Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, Blair Witch Project (the only thing scary about this movie was the quality) Heartland, No country for Old Men, The Deer Hunter. The list goes on and on.
    The better question is what were the all time best movies
    One thing tends to hold true; the more nominations and awards a movie gets the worse it will be.

       Like any art, film is so subjective that I wouldn't dare throw such a broad generalization. I, for one, loved No Country for Old Men and thought it was deserving of all praises. And so did There Will Be Blood, which was up against NCFOM that year.

       TWBB was a decent effort but NCFOM I threw the disc away after watching maybe 25 minutes.

    About 1960 my wife and I had our first date. I took her to see a film which has become a classic for modern jazz fans. It was filmed at an outside venue. It is called 'Jazz on a summer's day' I thought it was traditional jazz which we both like, modern jazz seems to me, to be an exercise for all instrument players to demonstrate their prowess.
    I know that millions of people think otherwise but modern jazz seems not to have melody or direction.
    We were bored stiff by the film and left early.

    There's a lot of ways to answer this question.  What really is "worst?"  For instance, "Showgirls" is one of the worst movies ever made, but it's entertaining and hilarious from start to finish, and I never regret watching it.  Same with movies like "Friday the 13th: A New Beginning" and "Howling II: Your Sister Is A Werewolf." 
    
    For me, the worst movie you've ever watched has to be something that you really wish you had not spent that time watching, that you feel your life is worse because you spent time watching it, and for me, that would have to be the absolutely atrocious 1996 sequel to "Terms of Endearment" (and "Terms" is one of my favorite movies, by the way) called "The Evening Star."  After sitting through this monstrosity, I decided it was the worst movie I had ever seen and I renamed it "The Evening Shit."
