I am not seeing any new hubs come by when I log in.
Up until about three weeks ago, whenever I would log in I would see new hubs or newly shared hubs. I would also see questions and forum comments for questions and forums I follow.
This has changed without any changing of the settings on my part.
In the past three weeks I rarely (if ever) see new hubs when I log in. I do still see questions and comments and forums that I follow.
Has anyone else experienced this? I can't figure out why I don't see new hubs; I know it's possible there are fewer, but like hardly ANY!
Answers, anyone?
I know a bunch of people (myself included) who have stopped writing because of the sharp drop off in traffic.
You know I think I came right at the time things started to decline. I'd hoped people would have another answer, but I think you are correct!
I have made HP a back burner priority as, what ever I do, traffic has kept on falling.
It is now a place for notes and articles that do not fit my other blogs.
Pity. I think HP are making matters worse by their ill thought out efforts to improve quality.
Alex-I agree with you. I was hoping there was another answer.
I think HP is trying to hard to fix things and they overshot the mark.
I've been a member at HubPages for 3 years, and earnings some time back used to be reasonable. In the past 13 days on HubPages I've earned $0.43 with the Ad Program, off 50 hubs. 17 days ago I joined Bubblews, have so far added 15 articles, and have earned $6.48 so far - this is tiny compared to what some of the other members are earning there, who have been there longer, have more time to add many articles and be more active on the site (liking, commenting etc) - it's still considered a fairly new site, with some hiccups as they work at improving it, but I'm liking it so far.
Hey Teresa--
I have heard so much about Bubblews I'm going to try it too.
I'm signed up too to take html at the junior college starting Monday so I can learn to make websites from scratch.
Thing is there are so many nice people at Hubpages.
Thanks for the best answer award - and I'm sure those html lessons are going to come in very handy for you - knowing how to make html sites from scratch is a doorway to many other helpful things too, from which you can earn.

There are some troubled men who regularly use forums, and they have not a single hub in their profiles. How come? How is it allowed? I do not get it--- Is HubPages a chat-website?

It looks like a fourth of my feed lately is comprised of new people wanting the rest of us to tell them how to write. All day I get request after request for help on passing the Quality Assessment. I mean Really? Many of your requests are just one step above being a jumble of mis-spelled words...

For the second time in less than a week, I just spent time opening "questions" that aren't questions, but nonsensical "garbage"--bits of a paragraph copies from somewhere and dumped into HP. In each case, I flagged them for HP, and they will likely disappear soon. But they harm...

After giving thought to how the amount of spam in both the Questions, and Forums can be reduced I came up with only really one solution.Require approval of new accounts, many who have their accounts banned, flagged etc simply recreate a new account. This also would reduce the number of people...

all the people I see spamming the forums are signing up long enough to post on the forum but aren't writing any hubs. So ... I was thinking. Why not require three hubs from a person before they can post in the forums? They would still be allowed to read to their heart's content, but they would need...

I’ve been reading many questions on the forums about how to get more traffic to your hubs. I’m a great believer in testing something, analysing the results, refining and sharing, and I approached the subject of how to get hub views in a practical methodical way. I’ll share my techniques below and...
