What is safe sex?
Is it necessary to take “safe sex” precautions when you are having sex with just one partner -- or with someone you know well?
Safe sex ranges in definition for each individual. If you are having sex with random strangers, safe sex would include a condom. If you are with a partner and are not trying to have children, safe sex would be for the male to wear a condom and/or for the female to be on birth control.
The only way you can have safe sex is to abstain. There is no guarantee that having only one partner is safe. One in four adults carry stds and one in seven HIV. In this day and time there is no such thing as safe sex unless you are not having it. Using condoms can help but are not always considered safe sex. Married people do not count either because being unfaithful is what seems to happen now. You should trust no one when it comes to having safe sex.
Safe sex is the process of having sex with the intent to avoid or reduce the odds of passing a STD or having an unplanned pregnancy.
You can get a STD the first time you have sex with someone who has one. A child can be conceived the first time you have sex. It's not "necessary" to have "safe sex" it's just (smart) to have it.
The failure rate for condoms last time I checked was 17% on average. There are several reasons why condoms fail and the biggest reason is incorrect application of the condom. It does little good preventing disease if it isn’t put on until halfway through intercourse.
Another reason is that some people remove the condom too soon, or don’t do it in the bathroom, or well away from where the little guys can escape and accomplish their task.
There is also slippage, leakage, and failure to leave space at the tip, and failure to remove air from the tip. All these are caused by human error in putting the condom on correctly.
When I was in high school the shop teacher would entertain his students with stories about the 2 women he was dating. I wasn’t in shop class (woodworking), but my boyfriend was, and he would tell me what was said. It was an all male class.
The shop teacher used to keep his condoms in his desk drawer in the classroom. One afternoon when he left the room for a short time some of the boys (juniors and seniors in high school) took a pin and poked holes in the condoms through the packaging. The teacher didn’t notice. He was not a popular teacher in case you might be wondering.
It wasn’t long and he had chosen which of the 2 women he was going to marry. You guessed it; he chose the pregnant one.
Be sure to keep your birth control in a safe place whatever kind you’re using.
I took several classes in sex education at the university as I explained in my profile, because I considered being an instructor myself. The subject doesn’t embarrass me and an awful lot of people are not well informed about it.
There are only 3 types of safe sex that I can think of, and this question/answer may be moderated because I’m going to tell you what they are.
1. Cybersex
2. Phone sex
3. The two (or more) of you masturbating together and watching each other. So long as you avoid all physical contact so that sperm/bacteria/virus cannot be transferred, there should be no problem with pregnancy or disease.
4. There is also a what is called ‘dry-humping,’ which is basically going through the motions without penetration, often with clothing still on one or both person’s lower halves, or maybe all of your clothes on, it’s up to you.
Cybersex, phone sex, or abstinence are really the only things you can do and be absolutely certain that no disease or pregnancy will occur.

Should you leave condoms in your car, even if it's a hot day?I know you shouldn't keep them in your wallet but then again not extreme temperatures either.
