Are there sufficient grounds for a bill of impeachment for President Obama?
Even though I believe he is by far the worst president in US history, I'm not convinced there are sufficient grounds for impeachment . . . yet. The scandals and lies are mounting up and I believe in the near future, there might be a move in the House of Representatives to do just that, especially if the Benghazi thing blows up in his face. Thoughts?
I would be one happy lady if that happened.......the mere sound of his voice nauseates me now.....
The President's wrongdoing exists almost entirely in people's minds (primarily conservatives). Any evidence of wrongdoing is even more a product of imagination. Not only that, but proving something like lying is exceedingly difficult. To attempt something which demands high proof when one has no proof is an act of folly.
That alone won't stop them of course, considering their political suicide displayed by shutting down the government.
I don't think they will though. These fake scandals have more value as fake scandals. It allows them to talk and talk and talk and talk about how terrible and horrible the president is ad nauseum. There's no reason to actually walk into a room of adults with that nonsense because then your foolishness will be laid bare. Consider, for example, how ridiculous Sheriff Arpaio looked when he actually tried to prove Obama's birth certificate was fake. Lies only really have legs when they can remain lies
Ultimately, I think the public has made it pretty clear that they don't have much patience for ideological sabotaging of government activity. I don't think anyone will have patience with wasting time on a witch-hunt either.
Primarily people's minds. That's rich! LOL
First, he wins the Nobel Peace Prize for nothing, then becomes a war criminal by attacking a country that did nothing to us (Libya), plus expanding the illegal wars in Iraq & Afg. Shredding Constitution
Thank you, junkseller, for not being crazy. I feel like every day I see more questions about Hitler-Obama taking over the world.
Sounds like junksmeller is an expert on defending the lie...don't mess with him lone77star or risk entering the world of fantasy reasoning.
Well, he's a Democrat. In the past, that's been enough. Why not now?
I don't remember that as a reason for Clinton's impeachment? He was impeached by the House of Representatives on two charges, one of perjury and one of obstruction of justice...oh of course crimes most democrats routinely commit - I see your point.
I voted for this jerk in 2008. After the first month, I gagged at the thought of him being president another month longer. Liar? That's only the start.
He betrayed his oath of office more times than I can count. Extending unconstitutional unPatriot Act (contrary to his promises). He said that Gitmo prisoners should stay there indefinitely, even if found innocent. Judge Andrew Napolitano couldn't believe his ears. Signing statements (which he said he wouldn't use, because they thwarted the Constitutional division of power) are a regular activity of his. He went to war against Libya and they hadn't done anything to us. Bush did this against Iraq, but Obama didn't even ask Congress; he asked the UN -- not just ignoring the Constitution, but pretending it doesn't even exist as the foundational law of the land. Drone strikes against targets in many lands are inhumane and war crimes, not to mention acts of war without any declaration.
There's so much more to his crimes. Yes, there's enough to impeach him and also remove him from office, but no body honest enough and Constitutional enough to do it.
All of the government works for the Corporate Party, either by choice or defacto.

What is your opinion of President Obama stating that the current Administration scandals are Phony?Does this statement present a distraction to the public? Does it show that the President has little concern for the truth? Does it echo the same illogical rhetoric as that used to hide...

Impeachment of a President One would think that the impeachment of a president is not conducive in showing him support.”Give him a chance,” people say. President Obama, to be exact, has been in office for a year now. He has done a lot of damage in that year. I have seen not one promise...

I'm curious to know what have been the Republican congress accomplishments since Obama has been in office? It seems to me all they have done is criticsize everything that he has done and say no to any bill or legislation that he wanted passed.

All opinions respected. Who would win a debate between Obama and Limbaugh?

Should a president be impeached for lying?Barack Obama lied to get his (un)Affordable Health Care Act passed. Why is no one in uproar over this? If this was Bush the dummycrats and (un)liberals would be asking for his head.
