Were the feed filters always there and did the status, question, forum, icons suddenly got bigger?
I have been here nearly year and I have never clicked on the feed filter icon before. What a pleasant surprise! It is so nice to see that I can now filter everything into different groups. A light bulb moment for me!
I think the Feed Filters function is relatively new. I agree, it's nice to be able to organize what you are viewing in your feed.
As far as the status, question, forum, icons suddenly getting bigger, you are correct about that. I think it's part of an effort to make HubPages more social since social networking is where it's at these days. It encourages users to update their status or ask questions in the questions section or forums, by making it very apparent and easy. Before that you had to dig into the site to use these features, and not everyone is a digger.
For better or for worse, HubPages keeps trying out new things. I do wish they'd get the page counter to work without going down constantly before they continue to try to develop new things. Fix what you already have, before you go building something new, IMO.
I think it is a great idea as I often felt that I only saw new hubs which were written by own followers and no others. Now I can see every hubs at a click of a button. Have you requested HubPages to address your Page Counter issue? Thanks Sally
It is an improvement to have control over what you see in your feed. I, and many others, have asked about the Page Counter problem over and over again. It just keeps breaking. They need new software or some other major fix.
The feed filters have always been there, but the link used to just say "filters" instead of "feed filters" and wasn't that easy to spot (hardly anyone used them). We cleaned some tangential things off the main feed page recently and refreshed the design a bit. I don't think that we consciously made the icons bigger, but it may have been a side effect of some of the other changes we made.
Thanks Paul. What about the Page Counter problem? That is a long-term problem that appears to need a major fix. Is it being addressed? Thanks!
I definitely approve and I do think the icons are larger - thank you very much pauldeeds. It is nice to know that HubPages staff read these posts.

It looks like a fourth of my feed lately is comprised of new people wanting the rest of us to tell them how to write. All day I get request after request for help on passing the Quality Assessment. I mean Really? Many of your requests are just one step above being a jumble of mis-spelled words...

Hey everyone,If you look at the HubPages homepage while you’re signed in, you’ll notice quite a change: we’ve moved to a Feed-centric layout (you’ll also notice that the Feed is no longer visible in the header), and made some simplifications to the interface. Kudos to Fawntia who built this great...

Edweirdo asked me a question, a request to make a hub about a service I use in conjunction with HubPages. He wanted me to explain how it is setup and used since he could neither locate anything good on HubPages, through Google and the services own help section left him with more questions than...

Has anyone else noticed a serious drop in quality among the Question portion of HubPages? For the past several weeks, nearly every question that is featured in the "my account" section has been ripe with misspellings and just contain a general lack of worth in my opinion. I feel the...

I personally would like to have someone ask whether Hubpages has improved anybody's love life, but that would be so frivolous, or possibly everyone would take it very seriously. I can't decide whether to ask it. Do you ever have this problem?
