Does having too many unpublished hubs hurts your traffic?
I have noticed a clear trend. Once I delete any of my unpublished hubs, I gain a spike in traffic. Is this due to the effect it would have on my hub score? I also noticed that my hub score dropped from 99 to 86 when I started saving unpublished hubs.
I have unpublished and deleted two hubs, but I didn't notice any significant change in traffic or hub score after I did this.
I am not aware of unpublished hubs affecting traffic. I have had one since this time last year and my traffic has not been affected. Rather than deleting them, would it not be beneficial to update and publish them?
It is possible that by deleting your hubs you are forcing Google's spider bots to re scan yout sub-domain, but you may well receive this bump if you published as well.
Hello, cfin!
Since only you and the administrators of the site can see the unpublished hubs, there is absolutely no way they can weight down your hub score or alter your traffic spikes. Hub score just drops down to a certain number after a short period of inactivity. Read 'inactivity' as 'not generating content on the site for its visitors to see'.
Traffic spikes are traffic spikes and that trend you have noticed is you searching for the Number 23
Have a smashing new year's eve!

After 6 months on the site i've started the really wonder how many backlinks is a reasonable number to any hub, and really to a hub becoming successful? Or is it simply a lottery. What kind of figures do other hubbers consider?

I thought I knew the answer to this question. But something interesting happened in the last week which I found it hard to explain. I'd be interested to hear opinions.I have a hub which is nine months old and had just reached 250-300 hits per day.I was experimenting to see how many tags I could use...

Read here that when one hubber did this, traffic improved. I thought the formerly called 'sleeping' hubs, now those not 'featured', would be pulled off Google, anyways. So I'm curious that when someone unpublished their 'sleeping' hubs that this improved traffic. Has anyone else found that doing...

Sometimes when I have ideas for hubs, I "start a hub" and sometimes finish it later or just let it sit there for a while. Maybe I should just write down my hub ideas instead. Does it hurt my hub scores or overall hubber score to have those unfinished hubs (often with just titles) sitting...

Its funny to me that a new 1400+ word hub is still low in ranking than an unpublished hub...

Just puzzled: How can an unpublished hub attain a higher score than any published hub? (The published hubs with lower scores must be pretty bad!)
