Are old 45s worth anything? For example old Beatles or Elvis 45s.
Does anyone know whether or not old 45s are worth anything, especially like the Beatles and/or Elvis 45s? Thank you for answering.
Yes, Faith Reaper, they very well may be. You should Google "Music World Records" and see if you can get some research on what they might be worth. They are located in North Carolina.
Hi janshares, oh thank you very much. My husband has a bunch of them and we were just wondering about if they were worth anything.
Dear Faith. This newspaper article lists the top fifty most collectible vinyl albums:-
www.telegraph.co.uk/…usic/music-news/ … op...There is also the world's first online valuation service, but they charge:-www.valuemyrecords.com/ Also try e-bay. Thank you very much.
Hi Dear Romeos, thank you so much for the great info here! I appreciate you for taking the time to answer. Hugs, Faith Reaper
Be sure to do a little research before selling them -> see what the same records are going for in stores and online. Shops will pay 50% of retail value since they need to pay their overhead; whatever you do, don't get conned into thinking they're worthless.
Hello Dan, oh really! Wow, thank you very much, as that is what one place said that they were not worth anything! I appreciate the great information.
Condition is very important... the record and/or sleeve should be in good shape.
Thanks FatFreddyCat, yes, that makes sense and all of these are in great condition.
Here is the bottom line: Any collectible in the end is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Of course supply and demand dictate the market. That being said, the condition on vinyl is THE most important thing, if the LP or 45 is unplayable "all scratched up" then it could indeed be worthless.
On a rarer title, you could still see value on a lesser condition item, especially on a picture sleeve, someone may buy something just for the sleeve to replace a poor condition one they already have.
Hold the vinyl up to the brightest light possible, you would be amazed at how many marks can be exposed. If you see any deep marks on the playing surface, gently run your finger over the surface, if you can feel the mark, the needle will likely as well during playback, this is not good, 45's without sleeves are also a hard sell.
Your best bet is to take your items to more than one record shop, they can scrutinize condition, don't be quick to sell though, get a second or third opinion. Be prepared for legitimate low ball offers, with eBay these days, it is a buyers market for all collectibles unless it's top condition and ultra rare.
Remember condition is everything, mint condition is top dollar, poor condition could mean 5% of book value, and honestly those books or price guides are worthless in today's world, eBay and Discogs are a much better real time gauge of selling prices.
Hello darkprinceofjazz, thank you so much for your insightful and detailed answer here. I love your hubber name too. I will keep all of this in mind. I am not sure my husband is willing to part with any, but just wanted to find out just in case.

When confronted he tried to deny and hide it but when that failed,He said he had it to see what the kids were doing . 2 are...

Is it worth to mention?Today (it is morning 10:20 am Dated 03/02/2016 in India), I logged in to HP and found my total views showing 10,004 which I am happy to see. It is an achievement with 35 hubs and in 23 months of long duration. But, I feel...
