   I absolutely love Lush cosmetics. They're hand made, contain natural ingredients, aren't tested on animals and best of all they work really well! I would recommend Dream Cream by Lush for very dry skin. People with various skin problems like eczema swear by it! I promise I don't work for them, I'm just obsessed with their products.

   Although i like Lush products, it wouldnt be my first choice unlesss products with strong scents are what you're going for. My son suffered with eczema for years,  i used raw organic shea butter, it totally banished the dryness. Also, if thats not helpful, Eucerin Cream, their whole line as a matter of fact specializes in dry skin care. The cost is reasonable amd you can find it at your local Walmart, Target, or drugstore

      I know what you mean, many LUSH products do have strong scents. But because they're natural, my sensetive skin seems fine with them. However some people still may find the scents too strong. The Dream Cream is VERY bland though.

   nmdonders....We certainly have.....oh....at least a THOUSAND products too choose from, wouldn't you agree?  I think that's the problem with thinking we can't find "the right/best one."  Too many selections to choose from and what do we know about most of them?
   I know that a popular dry skin remedy is "Eucerin," and also "Lubriderm," in terms of the most common ones recommended by Dermatologists.  These are affordable compared to some of the more "cosmetic" company creams and lotions, that like to promise skin PERFECTION....and whatever else they say to take our money.
   I believe we're best off checking ingredients and asking others...just as you have done here.
   My personal favorite is "Wibi."  It is not a lotion you might find on any shelf in any store.  Don't know why that is, because it's great stuff...but I order it online or just ask a pharmacy to order it for me.  Good luck!

   For me, the Olay Quench and Olay Soothing Cucumber formulas work best for true moisturizing. They absorb well, aren't runny, and unlike Eucerin, doesn't leave what feels like a greasy film on my skin.

   I don't know if it's still around but Keri Lotion used to be the best choice for dry skin. I would also recommend Nivea.

   I personally benefit by staying away from most commercial products, because sometimes the chemicals they use in them further aggravate sensitive, dry skin.  I love coconut oil.  I also make homemade lotions which is really quite easy and there are directions all over the internet.  That way you only get the emollients and nutrients your skin needs without parabens, alcohols, etc. and you can customize them to meet your own needs.  Coconut oil by itself is a fabulous deep moisturizer that also reduces inflammation so if your skin cracks - like on your heels in the winter, it will heal that. 
   
   Pure shea butter if you want strictly a lotion or cream is also very good for healing and deep moisturizing.

   There are many good lotions.  I like Suave Naturals as they have a big variety and are affordable.  Everlasting Sunshine is my recent favorite.

   I use either Vaseline or Dove moisturizer for my skin. It works for me as my skin is quite dry in winters.
