All of my articles have the "traffic falling" arrow - At what point do you let it go?
I've gone in to edit/change many times; adding new information, etc., but now they're all falling, and I can't get up. Thoughts? Feelings?
When I post a new Hub I'll pimp it and post it for the next 7 days or so...and if it hasn't "caught fire" by then I just move on to the next one.
Good to know! I've pimped them so much that I just got arrested. ;-)
Stop worrying about it. Hubs take time to age and traffic builds over time. You can see blue arrows one day and a double red arrow a day later. It all depends on what people are searching for and engaging with etc. I have one that goes in surges on Pinterest for example - sometimes getting close to a 1,000 views a day. Then it backs down to 2 or 300 and I get blue arrows - next week back up again - totally not a big deal.
Hubs that are evergreen over time will build traffic if they are good. It isn't necessary to update them repeatedly. Periodically, sure - especially if new information comes to light etc., but don't update every time you see a blue arrow, you'll drive yourself mad
Thanks Christin! I'm so paranoid about losing featured status. It's almost like it matters! ;-)
Even high scoring hubs can have traffic ebb and flow. They don't always mean no one is reading the hub, only that fewer people have read them over a given period of time. I'd leave them posted unless the hub scores drop below "featured" level. As long as they're available to read, you have a better chance of earning some money from them.
Thanks!! Is there a magic number I need to be watching for?
Just leave them for a while then started pimping them again, its a bit like juggling plates! lol!
They go up and down from time to time-- you can't expect a constant uptrend.
Sometimes I will find one of mine that has seen meager, or even no, traffic suddenly catch fire with all those red arrows. It is only a current indicator, day to day, not a major thing.
I just need to stop looking. it's messing with my Chi. ;-)
Take a deep breath, know you've done your best, and keep on working on your hubs as a whole . This has been a slow weekend across all of my accounts on various websites, and it may be for others too. The amount of traffic depends on how many people are looking, not just how well you promote or how good the hub is. This past weekend saw warm-ups for some people and snowstorms for others, so it may just be that your readers are away from their screen right now. I usually don't pay attention to that unless it's a down-trend that lasts for at least a couple of weeks or so.
Thanks! I'm new here, so not expecting miracles... But hoping I can at least remain on the good graces of the featured status for as long as we both shall live. Too much? ;-)

So yesterday I spent a little time trying to backlink a few articles on blogs and xomba type sites. I am not sure that the xomba sites are what is working tho. What I did with the blogs is find some related blogs to the topic of my article and read em, then tried to write a nice quality comment for...

I just noticed a blue arrow next to a hub I published this week. It's in the list of my hubs under my account page. What does it mean? It isn't the hub with the most views, unless it's a hub with the most views in the shortest amount of time, I do not know.

We can't keep on dropping for ever surely? Therefore there should come a time when perhap one lucky HP writer gets a red arrow.Post and feel the envy of your fellow sufferers. I mean writers.

I'll bet I have the most blue arrows of any hubber!Of 1,064 hubs, I have 174 blue arrows and just 20 red arrows. C'mon', play along and have some fun! (What? You don't think this is FUN??)

To me, it would seem that every article should have a blue or red arrow. I mean, isn't an article's traffic always in constant flux of either increasing or decreasing? Generally, I only see a small amount of arrows across all my hubs. Maybe I'm missunderstanding how they actually work...
