    Is there a relationship between commenting level and earnings on hubpages?

    As far as I know then there isn't a direct relationship.
    However, if you comment a lot on other peoples hubs, then you will in return see much more activity on your own hubs. And as a consequence then your earnings will increase too.
    PS: you will also learn and be inspired by reading other hubs.

    Commenting level means the amount of comments you haf given for forums and answers, the more the better. Earnings is the money you earn for views

      Thanks Peach. I was just wondering if other factors determine earnings. But as Ask pointed out, there is a symbiotic relationship either way.

    I don't know the answer to that however I used to be a level VII commenter and am now a level V, so that may depend on how controversial your comments are.

    As my hubs tend to be very out there in terms of subject matter there is a lot of disagreement and harsh comments left on my articles. I try to practice patience and tolerance of my fellow humans but am not always successful.

    I don't play well with others and for the most part do not suffer fools.
