    How do I go about starting a website that has a platform like a dating site?

    Id like to start a website, that is similar to what dating sites have. Im just wondering if I need to hire a webmaster and anything else. I greatly appreciate any and all feedback!

    So here are some questions for you to ask yourself;

    Are you familiar with HTML, JavaScript, SQL, and a server side language to handle the interactions of the three languages I mentioned above.

    If you are unfamiliar with those languages and processes, you need a Web Master who is familiar with them.

    You will need to build a user or client database that contains the necessary information for clients. You will need to create dynamic web pages to interact with that database, and you will need the programming experience to create, and manage a dating website.

    The Web Master should be familiar with LAMP, Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP. If he or she is good, they will not be cheap.

    I wish you good luck, it is a complicated enterprise you are undertaking.

      I would check with a local tech agency and see what they have that is available. That will also give you a feel for what someone would cost. There are also some web hosting companies that might be able to provide web services that you need.

      There are several hosting sites, Godaddy, tucows, Ipage, are three. I live in the SF bay area, and The Creative Group is an excellent agency.

      Good Luck
