   Has anyone experienced alien contact of any kind?
   
   I just want to hear about any experiences people have had with extraterrestrial beings.  I have heard that people are hesitant to disclose these types of events for fear of being viewed as insane.  I haven't had any paranormal experiences, but if I did, I would like to think I would have the courage to tell people about it, no matter the social repercussions.  If you have personally witnessed an event, I would very much like to hear about it.       I sent you the hub that I have here on my account to you via hubmail.  I was attacked with the first encounter and was told that I was thinking of nasty things and that I secretly wished that they would happen to me.  I have my 2nd account on a hp.

   My husband says that he is convinced he had an alien encounter. It was many years ago and when he talks about even now, he actually get goosebumps.
   Since he is not scared of anything else in the world, I am inclined to believe his story, but I cannot vouch for it, nor say with any evidence that it was indeed an alien abduction.
   Hi is 6'3" and is large and strong, As I said, he is not really scared of anything. He was a Naval Engineer and steamed around in the Pacific for 4 years and saw many odd things during that time that did not cause him to turn to jelly as the incident he thinks of as alien abduction does.
   He claims that he was just going to bed for the night when he heard someone (or something) enter the house. He was alone, save for his  pet dog.
   The 'entity' glided into his bedroom and "willed" him to go to sleep. He had sat up in bed and was overcome with feelings of terror. He said that the 'entity' seemed to put a "veil" over him.
   The next thing he knew it was morning and he sat up in bed, still terrified, with his confused and worried looking dog staring at him.
   To this day, whenever he watches a TV show about alien abduction or some UFO stories, he will get agitated and have the goose bumps again.
   He also had some sort of foreign body that caused irritation underneath his left ear that eventually abscessed and exuded copious amounts of strange colored pus. The foreign body incident happened some years after his "encounter".
   So, there you have it. Was it an alien encounter? He has had no subsequent incidents like this. But if I had to hook him up to a lie detector, I would say that, in his mind, he is telling a true story.
   He is against hypnotism to try to find repressed memories of the event because he says he doesn't want to remember. He thinks it will terrify him to know the truth of what happened that night.
   The entity he described resembled the small "greys" that others have reported. Only he thought this one was a little larger than others have described.

      @Lela. Awesome.  I'm sorry that your hubby had to have a frightening encounter, but I find this type of thing absolutely fascinating. The fact that he is a Naval Engineer lends itself to his credibility.  Those are not the fanatical type of people.

      Wow! I too get a bit ansy when I watch a certain UFO story.  I think the movie is called Fire In The Sky.  I just updated my encounters and made it all into one hub.  I drew a picture of what was put inside of me and what they did with it.

   From Escondido a friendly 'Hej' translated from Swedish being 'Hi'! I experienced a phenomena or an oddity. I have decided more so a spiritual experience rather than a extraterrestrial matter, although I am speaking subjectively.
   
   Objectively there are facts surrounding the event especially subsequent to it involving amnesia both anterograde lasting a little longer than a week and retrograde, of which continues to this day. The anniversary will be July 3rd near midnight having a length of 37 years since the incident. At question or a quest I have sought understanding with its regard is the question of the consciousness (contrast / compare with spirit and/or soul) 'abducted ???' vs. the body with the consciousness as is by most retelling the experience. 
   
   The incident, which documented was an automobile collision . . . ambulance ride . . . hospital time . . .left me in a state of unconsciousness followed by a state of no awareness, next a state of unfamiliar awareness, and then followed with relearning accompanied with what is termed 'spontaneous recovery' while a coherent ordered occurance(s) is questionable. In other words recall of A as the stimulus or relearning A as the stimulus and subsequent events / behavior(s) or even quite simply the 'next'. The latter experienced sporadically over the 37 years, however recall not necessarily chronological, therefore the pieces did not always fit cognizantly having a property per se of congruency with life history. Did that make sense?
   
   Those events led to times of great despair and also times of great rejoicing, even though both were accompanied with much time seeking validation and verification. That process many times were much more exhausting to those sought for those purposes while some are no longer with us today to complete that process leaving leaps of faith tempered with trust while shall we say marching forward with life while questioning remained of life. Alas, a puzzle is and a puzzle be for me. Most have a line in their life beginning with zero age and arriving to the moment of pondering with recall and the blessing of congruency. Mine assuredly has two zero points while like most we begin new 'lives' in life also.
   
   Another way to share it is there are ghosts, which truly were people in the first 24 years. It gets confusing for me, though the point I am trying to make is who says the entity as a whole is what is abducted or why not just the consciousness abducted while the body is left in tact.

      @tsmog: thank you for sharing your experience.  I find the non-chronological order of life events following the event to be very fascinating.  I am not sure I have ever heard of this before. Did you happen to recognize these ghosts? Who were they?

      I use ghosts loosely in this sense. Recovering from Retrograde amnesia my dad went through 3 boxes of family pics with me. I continued looking at those photos. Today when family have recounting of such & such I remember the photos . . . ghosts :-
