I have a soft spot in my heart for huskies probably because they look the most like beautiful wolves to me.

I have a lot of favorite dogs! I just love dogs too much but I have a special fondness for dogs that look like foxes, like the Shiba Inu and fox-faced Pomeranians.

But I also love Jack Russells, basset hounds, coonhounds, Italian greyhounds, Newfoundlands, beagles, boykin spaniels, German shepherds, and border collies.

Poodles. They are smart, loving and hypoallergenic. But honestly, I really like all dogs.

There has to be something about loving  dogs and writing well.  You will note that from the image scores you and the other two "first responders" have! (90, 86, 89!)  It could also be you three are quick to read, and act!

I'm a big fan of Rottweilers, I've had two now (though my current dog has got a bit of mastiff in him as well so not full rottie).

I've had two toy poodle mixes (one Lhasa apso/toy poodle cross and one Boston terrier/toy poodle cross) and both have been incredibly sweet and affectionate, so a toy poodle cross would definitely draw me in if/when I get another dog someday.

I would love an Australian Shepherd one day, I think they are so beautiful!

I've also always loved Cairn and Norfolk terriers, maybe because they remind me of Toto from the Wizard of Oz. smile

Great Question. I have been pondering getting a dog this year, since not working now living alone. That said my favorite breeds are:

    Rhodesian Ridgeback
    Labrador Retriever
    Australian Shepherd

Quite honestly at my age I would have to limit my choices to those that shed less and somewhat mello. I live in a mobile home with no real yard to speak of. No front and the back is 12' x 30'. Dogs outside have to be leashed. So more small breed than medium.

I did a search at AKC using their match guide. Kinda' cool. It will show using for your personality Facebook a comparison with the dog breeds matched. From those revealed as choices I would choose the:

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. hmmmmmm . . .

    Now, I have to decide between a dog and a cat . hmmmm . . . both?

The Cavalier is so adorable. I've never had a cat but I think they are more independent than dogs.

My favorite breed is rescue. I have two excellent little dogs who were rescued from our local animal services. I don't know what they are, and I don't really care.

I am the proud owner of an American Pit Bull Terrier. These dogs get such a bad rap, but they are truly sweethearts. Pit Bulls love to cuddle and are very loyal to their families.
Another one of my favorites (I hope to have one when I own my own home) is an Irish Wolf Hound.

Chows because they are such cute medium sized dogs. Beagles because they are such cute small dogs. Mastiffs because they are such loving large dogs. I've owned all three of these breeds. My husband's favorite dog (now deceased) was a Chow-Pei. The Shar-Pei down the street came courting our lovely chow and the result was Genghis, a big burly, but beautiful, unruly dog that became Mr. B's constant companion until he died at nearly 14. Mr. B wasn't fit to live with for a week after Genghis died, and I miss him too.

I'm pretty partial to my Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute mix... He is one of the best dogs I have ever owned--smart, playful, cuddly, entertaining, etc.
BUT, I also love my Chihuahua, a breed I never thought I'd own. Through a series of circumstances I ended up getting one and he has been my best friend ever since! He is the most human-like dog I have ever met, but that also might be because of how much I babied him. wink
I consider myself lucky to own these two breeds because my dogs are a great (an unusual) combination.
