   Are we REALLY EQUAL?  Do you argue that the concept of equality is merely a human construct?
   
   Or you do strongly contend that in the natural world equality doesn't exist as there are those who have more or less in terms of looks, intellectual qualities, & other characteristics/attributes?

   There is a difference between Equality, and the Equal under the protection of the law. The latter is the illusion of equality under the law. The former is the illusion that people are equal as humans, and that they should be treated equally by other humans, without regard to the law.
   
   Anyone that has been alive for more than a few years knows that there isn't any Equality. From the moment that you are born, there is no equality as you find yourself set by the environment established by your parents, or lack thereof. You are rich, poor, in the middle, you live in a great place, a good place, not so good place, bad place, or a really bad place.
   
   You are born, healthy, sickly, diseased, or with a propensity of getting sick due to bad genetics. The list of inequality goes on from your birth, and as you move through the passages of life, the inequality usually gets worse, rather than better.
   
   The reality is that the better your start the better your chances of doing better, and vice versa.
   
   The rest are exceptions to this general rule of life.
   
   "All Men Are Created Equal" is a well known
   ----We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed
   ------
   
   This is just a dream that has turned into a nightmare. 1st, this was really just for the Declaration of Independence, talking to the British, and why the US should be free from them. It had nothing to do with equality of the people within the new to be formed US. 2nd, it should be patently obvious from the constitution itself that it didn't include black slaves, or women.
   
   It literally meant, All White Men. It took 2 amendments, 55 years apart just to get Slaves, and Women to vote. The 15th amendment only gave the vote to Black Men.
   
   Now, in the new century, the left is pushing the Civil Rights Amendments and the Declaration of Independence Equality. They have stretched the constitution past its limits, in effect watering it down and making it impotent.
   
   So the short answer, Equality doesn't exist in real life.
   Look at what has happened to the One Person One Vote foundation of the US constitution. Today, your vote is cutout. For example, "Super Delegates vs Popular Voter". The Electoral College is devoid of voters.

   What we have achieved is equality before the law.  Barring some Democrats like Hillary Clinton who get to ignore the law because of their political status, the law is supposed to treat everyone equally. Compare this to Shariah law per the Koran, where a woman and a Christian have testimony and blood money half that of a Muslim or man. Or medieval laws that said one set of laws for nobles and another for common men.
   
   Equality of outcomes is actually immoral. You take more from the person who works hard and saves to give to the lazy. Or you get a Harrison Bergeron scenario where the beautiful wear masks, the intelligent wear headsets to dumb them down, the strong wear weights.

      I don't see any equality before the law. The rich and powerful have the advantage in any legal case, criminal or civil.

   Naturally discrimination based on age, race, religion, gender, and sexual orientation should be banned.
   With regard to other areas in life; equality = mediocrity or average.
   What people really want is an equal opportunity to become "special"!
   At least in America the goal is to be "the best" and "have the best".
   People want "VIP treatment" and not have to stand in long lines. They want to travel "first class", stay in 5 star hotels, and dine in 5 star restaurants. No one wants seats in the nosebleed section!
   Equality means there is none better or worse. Everyone gets the same. It's human nature to be competitive and want to "compare".
   Imagine a world where there were no letter grades and every student received a "P" for passed on their classes. No rankings for anything, everyone got the same exact 2 bedroom home, furnishings, a $50k salary, and a black Ford Escort no matter what they did for a living. That would be true equality!
   The reality is our knowing there is a "better lifestyle" is what inspires us to plan, excel, work hard, & pursue the dream of having it.
   Competition, market value, ambition, persistence, "popularity" & intangibles will always ensure there will never be true equality.
   This is why there will always be doctors, lawyers, governors, senators, and whomever with various college degrees and experience who will earn far less than Kim Kardashian even if they lived multiple lifetimes! (Life is not fair!) It never will be.

      I have to disagree Reality has not shown that there is a better lifestyle that is attainable with hard work, and pursuing a dream. Over 75% of the country according to reality by your definition have failed. 46 million people on food stamps alone.
