   The average person has to work harder then the pretty people.

   It's evolutionary.  Although there might be some cultural differences over what good looking means, for the most part there are traits that are seen as better than others by almost everyone. People unknowingly acknowledge this fact in everyday interactions and treat these folks better for a variety of reasons; whether it be a feeling of inferiority or a selfish desire to get to know them. 
   Those who are taller tend to be more successful.  Same goes for those with large cheekbones and deeper voices (for men). If you are a tall guy with lots of hair and a deep voice, you will probably dominate a sales call or a presentation.

   Attractive people often get more breaks and freebies because some people may have the ability to decide what an attractive person gets and this also occurs because some people are not using their brains in doing so. Their reasons are as individual as each of us but it often goes back to feeling that the attractive person is good, successful, or the possibility that the attractive person will give them something in return sooner or later.
   Sometimes these breaks and gifts is not an issue and other times it blows up in people's faces such as when an attractive person is hired for a job that they are inefficient or incompetent at. It varies by individual, groups, and companies, but attractive people are often (whether correctly or incorrectly) deemed to be better than average in various ways even when there is no proof.

   Attractive people are "draws"-"attractors".  People feel more comfortable & at ease w/attractive people.  Attractive people are considered assets whether it is business or relationships.  They are viewed as having more charisma & magnetism. 
   
   It all starts in infancy. Attractive infants are interacted with more by parents, relatives, & others than their less attractive counterparts.  Attractive children are viewed as more intelligent, industrious, & even popular by peers & teachers alike.  They are also punished less by parents & teachers for behaviors that there less attractive counterparts would be castigated for.   Attractive teenagers are viewed as highly popular by their peers.  They are also viewed as more datable, likeable, & relatable.
   
   As adults, attractive people tend to be hired more than their less attractive counterparts, particularly in more high end & visible jobs where there is much client contact.  Companies & corporations view attractive people as money enhancers.  They know that having attractive people in their employ means more money for their companies & corporations. 
   
   In the entertainment & media professions, attractive people are in demand because they present the idea, fantasy image.  They also guarantee mass appeal.  They don't even have to have talent but nevertheless, because of their looks they are in demand in terms of celebrated status.  Their less attractive counterparts have to possess phenomenal, even stratospheric talent in order to be even noticed.   
   
   In essence, attractive people are viewed as more available, likeable, approachable, & more elevated than the average looking person.  People WANT to do things for attractive people.  Yes, the world loves beauty & those who are deemed attractive or beautiful have the world as their oyster.
