   It's for Black people. When I hear it, I feel it means all other people do not matter and I get resentful. I have never hated any race and still don't, but this does test me.  They only care about black people. They are racists.
   
   What should be said is "all lives matter." But that would not be believed when cops are getting shot in some sort of retaliation.
   
   Two wrongs do not make it right.

      Actually it really means black lives matter just as much as all the other lives matter. Their sense is that cops get a "free pass" for killing blacks that they would not get if they were caught on tape killing whites under the same scenario.

      Did the cops they  shot and their families matter?. It is funny  that  BLM does not protest when it's black on black murder, They attack police out of blind revenge.. Nobody should be killing anyone, Period...

   If black lives truly mattered to BLM, they'd care about the tens of thousands of blacks killed by other blacks each year, many of them children and teens killed in the crossfire of gang violence. Instead, they only care about the 100-200 blacks killed by police - blacks killed by blacks don't matter to them.
   If police violence truly mattered to BLM, they'd be upset about the greater number of whites killed by police than blacks as well as their own - but they only care if the person killed by cops is black.
   Black Lives Matter is a black supremacy movement, cloaked in "we're fighting for our lives", while demanding segregation of whites from blacks and special privileges like an exemption from punishment of shoplifting, theft, drug dealing that whites, Hispanics and Asians would never get. That's their solution to the high arrest rate of young blacks - an exemption from demands to obey the law.

      Most people don't understand the "movement" isn't about the simple killing of blacks. It's about the numerous killing of blacks by police who are sworn to "serve and protect" and more often than not there is no legal repercussion.

      Whites are killed in greater numbers and rates by cops than blacks, so it isn't a racial issue - but BLM saying black lives matter but not whites IS a racist view.

   BlackLivesMatter is for everyone.  However, it is a group which is focusing right now on one specific issue of police violence against blacks.  That being said people need to learn to keep a flexible mind.  If your first thought of the phrase "Black lives matters" makes you think in a mutual exclusive manner that this must mean the group thinks other lives do not, then we have a problem with other people pre-judging the group. Additionally, if one thinks in terms of rationalizing away a valid message by trying to minimize the efforts of this group by saying, why not focus on black on black crime, then people are missing the point. People will focus on certain issues from time to time in hopes of addressing certain issues which have been brought to attention.  However, we must remember that people in the BLM group are also "women." These "women" may also be in other groups such as NOW (National Organization of Women). Should we chastise women who are focusing on issues facing women.  Members of the BLM may also belong to LGBT group.  Should those members be chastised for then focusing on issues against LGBT people.  If a group is formed to address a valid issue that support them, don't find reasons to bring them down or create dissension. Many people belong to one off groups.

   The "Black Lives Matter" was born out of the many instances where police officers have been shown to kill unarmed black men without any legal punishment applied to cops.  Mind you officers take an oath to "serve and protect". Essentially it's an "awareness" movement.
   When incidences like George Zimmerman killing a black teenager after the 911 dispatcher told him not to follow Travon Martin... it's natural for people to speculate if George had been black and Travon had been white would George have gone to prison or set free?
   The governor of Minnesota conceded that had Philando Castile been white with a license to carry a gun he wouldn't have been killed.
   I believe the "black lives matter" movement is intended to raise awareness that oftentimes it appears cops get a "free pass" for killing black people. Cops usually aren't even indicted even it's caught on camera
   It's hard to deny when one sees a video of something like 17-year-old Laquan McDonald in Chicago being shot in the back (16 times) and the police officer gets paid administrative leave after the states attorney and mayor attempted to block the video from going public for 2 years...etc
   Essentially those in the movement feel that if the police were killing unarmed white citizens there would be more prosecutions of bad cops. By saying "black lives matters" doesn't mean that all lives don't matter.
   It's simply pointing out the legal system has biases regarding prosecutions when officers shoot or kill people who are black.
   All people should feel relaxed and safe when the police arrive on the scene. They should know and feel they will be treated the same regardless of their race. The cause is about equal treatment for all.
