Very easy. In this topic it's more probably that you two have something you agree on, both of you. Try to focus on that point and in that way he'll think you're wright since you think the same way he does which will make you convincing him/her lot more easier ! Besides, facts , examples and reality can you help you too.
Couple of ways that Anonymouss didn't touch on. Hypnotic trance, and very young child who has not yet formed an opinion on what you trying to convince them of.
When we are very young, we soak up knowledge like a sponge. What is told to us initially forms the basis for that subject. Our mind just says (without words) Yes. That opinion given to us then becomes ours. We then usually go on to reinforce it by voluntarily giving attention to what affirms that opinion even more strongly. It comes as a shock - and generally against great inner resistance - to then change our minds on that subject.
That is why it is said, "Give me a child before the age of six and he/she is mine forever." In other words, the indoctrination will be so strong it will remain for life.
As for hypnotic trance. Well, that is another subject altogether. It, too, will convince - especially when one is actually UNDER the hypnotic spell. But there have been whole books written on this subject, so I'll say no more.

I don't know if I like the sound of where this is going.
FACTS...not pulling the wool over someone's eyes. Although in saying that Advertising is notorious for "brainwashing' us to "act". We are emotional creatures more than logical creatures-that's why advertising works. Right now I am over sensitive to real or potential "controller's" in life. Everyone is trying to boss you or own you. I hope you learn to "sell yourself" to this person instead of trying to find techniques to "fool" or "control' this person you "want to convince easily"
My dear,
Very nice answer on this question.
Glad to see your view on this

Can anybody please convince me that "responsibility" is a true ethic/value?Seriously - I'm not so sure it's anything but the very human self-aggrandizing we do as we over-estimate our impact and "front" the "responsible adult" image and often the smugness that goes...
