   Because it is seen as an attack on Obama, and all attacks on Obama are blamed on racism instead of political disagreement.

   The birther issue has no basis for a racial attack other than the liberal left and the democratic party always pulls the race card. When in doubt PULL THE RACE CARD.
   
   The question on Obama's birth certificate had everything to do with Obama's country of origin. Did he legally have the right to run for president or not? When the democrats are backed up against the wall they pull the race card; its what they do.  I don't think they knew where Obama was born if the truth were known.
   
   On the other hand why did Obama take so long in producing his birth certificate? He could have brought peace to the country by just producing the birth certificate.  Obama is a divider not a peace maker.  He should have done what was best for the country, but he didn't.

   Because it is. The birther issue was never brought up until we has a black man run for president. It still hurts Trump to admit he was wrong.

      It had nothing to do with him being black. If you aren't born a US citizen you can't be president, no matter what race. Plain and simple.

      Ted Cruz was born in Canada! (No birther issues)
      He seems to believe he could legitimately become president. Maybe it's not so "plain and simple" after all!

      I agree, we have requirements for the presidency that must be met. Trump was just making sure the requirement was met. It is racist to say Obama is Black, as he is half White.
