Latest poll shows Michelle Obama is the most admired women in the US.
If that is the case, she would make the best candidate for president instead of the current 20+ contenders...
Here is the story -
https://www.nydailynews.com/news/nation … story.html
Perhaps she'll run against Ivanka sometime in the future. That would be after Ivanka gets out of prison, of course...
Don’t mind him. He is a Trump hater afflicted with TDS.
What I propose to Democrats is their best hope.
Michelle is their only candidate that has a chance in hell to beat Trump in 2020. All other current candidates are no match.
It is why smart people like Bloomberg decided to sit out this one...
If she is not motivated, why bother. She is not a devoted citizen or a patriotic person. She could further the demise started by her husband. So your suggestion is pretty weird to me.
I guess I should explain myself. When I saw the article, I was just curious how this couple could in 8 years, take America down a few notches and still be so popular and admired.
If the poll is accurate, then she would win for sure and continue as the 3rd term of Barack Obama.
I came up with this idea as a test.
Would Americans really vote for another Obama for President?
People admire Obama for his civility, his incredible speaking ability and his decency.
It doesn't matter how I think his policies affected America I admire the man. Michelle was an admirable first lady.
On this we agree, LTL. Michelle is a class act.
Thank you! This is what America needs more of IMO. Just because we disagree with someone's policy, or even the direction they see for our country, it doesn't make him or her the enemy, unpatriotic, or a horrible person. We need a President that doesn't feed these notions.
I'm all for that. As long as the alternative candidate isn't even a worse choice.
Yes, but at the end of the day, what counts for most Americans?
Is it civility of our leaders or a job and money in the bank and a rising retirement accounts?
I submit to you, Obama has been a disaster for our economy and economic well-being. He spent 10 trillions of our money that we don’t have and borrowed.
He was satisfied with a GDP of 2%.
He was the architect of driving the coal business out of business.
He created Obamacare.
Need I say more?
You didn't mention Obama kept us out of a possible depression inherited from a former Republican Administration, Jack. Nor did you mention the auto makers which were bailed out and paid the money back when they recovered.
Yes, you can say more. Were you part responsible for putting Dubya in office, Jack? Did you vote for him?
Hold on there pilgrim. Better fact-check that "they paid back the money" thought.
GM is the automaker pertinent to your statement, and the money they "paid back" came from more TARP funds, not their own profits.
You have opened a can of worms with that thought bud. Hopefully, I am not viewed as one that promotes my own stuff, but ... you can find a fairly detailed and researched description of GM and the TARP bailout in my articles list.
GA
Yes I did. Anyone who knows and study the recession of 2008 knows what was the cause. It was precipitated by the housing bubble. It was the policies implemented by Democrats that forced banks to give mortgages to people who could not afford it. It was Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac that along with Wall Street caused the recession which then required the bailout from the tax payers...
George Bush had his faults but the real problem with the recession was Congressman Barney Frank and others that created the mess.
Here is the full explanation -
https://www.conservapedia.com/index.php … on_of_2008
"Overall, the auto bailout was the one big money loser for TARP. Even with the Ally sale, taxpayers lost about $9.2 billion.
But opting not to bail out the auto industry likely would have proven far more costly, since GM, Chrysler and many car dealers likely would have gone out of business without the government's help."

+1000000000000000000000000000000000000. Jack, the Democratic Party has veered so far to the LEFT that it isn't even funny anymore. One can say that it is a...……...GRAND TRAGEDY...……..
The government over spends. I can't blame all of that on Obama.
I didn't say I agreed with his policies. I said he was a gentleman. I don't think you have to be a jackass to improve the economy. Trump is no gentleman. Obama is.
I don't vote on personality type. I always assumed that but it was corroborated with Trump.
Money isn't everything jackclee. I hope you can understand the idea behind that statement.
I think that sometimes how you strive for a goal is just as important as achieving the goal.
GA
True, I believe that philosophy also. However, when you compare Obama with Trump, it is clear that one is a globalist and the other is a nationalist.
In a global economy, we are competing with China and the EU and Mexico...and other nations. Trump is looking out for us while Obama was happy to secede our dominance to others...the whole “lead from behind” strategy.
Let me out it another way. If you were poor and out of work...what do you prefer? A job or government assistance. Trump wants to give everyone who wants it a job, while Obama was satisfied with providing benefits and entitlements to keep the masses at bay.
You forgot to mention all the scandals people want to forget about.
Benghazi, Fast & Furious, the IRS scandal and others.
He only looks good due to a compliant media.
You are correct. Obama was known to be an eloquent speaker but only when the teleprompter is working. In the few incident when the teleprompter failed or was not used, he cannot talk straight. Where as President Trump can talk for 45 minutes without a script.
Actually, Ivanka's accomplishment looks better on paper.
I will stick with Elizabeth Warren, thanks....
Not sure how any woman becomes the most admired women in the US? Michelle Obama is a class act. She presents herself well and is clearly well educated. I have never been able to find much in regards to her accomplishments while in the WH. She did "initiate " several programs. She was a low key First Lady. But most are. I think the Dems would have been better off with her running for president considering the line up they are going with. Makes one wonder if she just is not willing to offer any more years to serving America. I salute her for the years she put in...

TDS is only used by Trump devotees to avoid responding to the comments. Fox watchers...
Calling Michelle "unpatriotic and not a devoted citizen" is almost as bad as Trump.
So you guys like the outer perfection but inner hatred of America.
Have at it.
Be careful what you wish for.
What "outer perfection" are you speaking of, Kat? Or are you simply musing again?

Should Michelle Obama run for President in the future? Do you think she has what it takes? There were rumors a few months back that Michelle Obama would edge out Hillary Clinton for the Democrat nomination for president in the 2016 race for the White House. It got me thinking whether Michelle stands...

If Trump had a crystal ball which showed he might (somehow) start a civil war here in the good ol' USA, would/should he decide not to run? - wondering.

Obviously, I have my views, but I leave this as an open-ended question. There is no question he has become a lightening rod and has stirred great controversy in America, and now around the world. Is that good or bad? Does what he is saying from his platform as a serious contender...
