Has The Rebound Started at HubPages?

After literally years of declining numbers of Hubbers and published Hubs, the last few days have seen a rebound in both categories, as chronicled in the Hub "Google attacks our Hub Pages."

Do you think this is the start of an actual rebound in this site, after years of decline or is it just another bump in the downward road?

I'm very pleased with my numbers, especially lately - I think with the niche sites things are definitely on the rebound!

I agree that the niche sites have been a good thing.  My Hubs have done well on the niche sites.

Hi, I hope it's on the upward swing. I am new here and really like it. I am just getting back into writing and it feels good. I love the interaction with other people.

Glad you like writing and HubPages Terrie.  As long as you can live within their constraints, you'll be happy here.  It does provide a good platform for publishing.

I am learning and making progress. I like that I can ask a question and people answer. I am still shaking the dust of my pen and asking questions really helps.

I hope so...it seems there's a lot on the upswing for me, at least. Eight out of ten new Hubs were chosen for a niche site. And, I had the biggest leap of viewership a few months ago. It's slowed down, but there are time when there's a sharp spike.

Congrats on having so many of your new Hubs chosen for niche sites.  My Hubs on niche sites do quite well, so that concept seems to be working.

I hope so. I for one would like to see HubPages be more successful than it is right now. I also noticed quite a few new sign ups to HubPages who seem to be promoting spam. We need to report these people to get them blocked. It will take more self policing to keep this site high quality. The staff can only do so much since there are only 25 staff members last I check.
They are doing a fantastic job.
I also noticed more google searches ranked higher for hubpages... another good sign.

I think they are trying to get ranked higher in Google searches, so the staff must be pleased by that.  We'll see what happens.  It's a lot quieter around here than it was years ago.
