Who should be your personal judge ,your Mind or your Heart? Why do you feel so?

We are sometimes trapped in such situations where we keep thinking whether we should be ruled by our mind or whether we should follow our heart. But who should be our ultimate judge?

Debangee, you have asked an interesting question. Who should be our judge when a decision is taken - mind or heart ? I think it should be our mind , for all thinking is done by it, but in matters of love, we cling to each other for hugs. Isn't it interesting that we love to feel each others heart intensely when we are in an embrace. At the same time, we also caress each other by softly touching the head.  However, we love to touch the heart most.

In my view, those who do not love each other often give more emphasis to mind than heart and vice versa. A guy in love will surely ignore some practical aspects of life, and a person in pursuit of some other thing like money will hanker after mind often.

Though mind and heart play their different roles, but the decision making is always done by the mind only. I think this will satiate your thirst/ curiousity to some extent.

If anything, the Judge should be the Absolute Supreme, but if He did this, then we'll all be dead. God is not a school teacher, but a loving mother/father; a weaver or potter whose only purpose - speaking loosely - is to weave, mould ... it is compassion, but which may appear like Justice -- a disguised form of Love.

We keep 'thinking' you say. That is correct. Thinking is of the mind and it is the place where judgement takes place. The heart we speak of is generally related to the emotions. The spiritual Heart; the psychic Heart, works for the manifestation of the Supreme, usually in the same way as the soul does. the Soul is the highest member of the human psyche.

God never judges, neither does the Heart. Judging is a thought process coming from the division-separating-mind; the analytical and scholarly mind. Through meditation, we can learn to 'feel' with the Heart. It is infinitely higher than the mind. Much Love.

P.S. Some kinds of judgements are necessary for survival: crossing the road; walking in the dark; where we sit in a train, domestic analysis and a few more ... it will increase or decrease based on our individual level of inner growth at any given moment.
