Do niche site articles show up in my regular hubpages feed? How do I find them?
I'm sure this has been explained, but I'm still confused about the process. Is this feature why there is so little readable material in my HP feed?
Yes, they appear in your feed just like any other hub, Kathleen. Your own articles that have moved to niche sites appear on the Accounts Page/statistics, they usually have a yellow circle with a pencil, and on your profile page it shows the name of the niche site above those hubs moved.
Thanks for the tutorial. I know I've read notices about this feature, but now that I have an interest, I'm at a loss.
Simply sign out and the main page the has all the Niche sites: http://hubpages.com
To my understanding your home page feed will show articles as they are posted to HubPages itself. They are posted to HP before moved to Niche site. I don't think when it is moved to a Niche site it will appear in the feed a second time. But, it is based on how you have your filter set up in 'Feed Settings'. A few weeks ago I went to my filter and added Technology and now my feed is inundated with technology articles.
How to set up the feed settings
GoTo Feed Settings at the upper right of the Feed column
When clicked there will be three folders
Settings
Categories
Hidden
Settings is self explanatory
Categories are those that you want to follow and show up in your feed. You can add or delete categories. You can search topics and it will give a drop down menu of topics. Those are both Main Topics and sub-topics. So, if you choose a Main Topic it will place all the sub-topics on your feed too.
Hidden by default is 'All people and topics are visible'. I don't know if it can be modified.
Just for TMI the Main Topics are:
Arts and Design
Autos
Books, Literature, and Writing
Business and Employment
Education and Science
Entertainment and Media
Family and Parenting
Fashion and Beauty
Food and Cooking
Games, Toys, and Hobbies
Gender and Relationships
Health
Holidays and Celebrations
Home
HubPages Tutorials and Community
Personal Finance
Pets and Animals
Politics and Social Issues
Religion and Philosophy
Sports and Recreation
Technology
Travel and Places
Thanks. I saw most of this in the Learning Center, but there weren't any links to the site. If I want to browse articles on these sites, I clicked on everything I could find. How do you get to the different sites?
This link is to the Editorial Policy. On the right are the names and they are links to the editorial policy for the site. Click the Niche site name to go to the site. http://hubpages.com/help/sites-editorial-policy
Kathleen, to read more on other niche sites just type the name of the site into the search bar. It will take you to the main page with all the articles for that site. If you want to read others posts on a site you write for just go there through your article page and pick what one you want to read. leave a comment and then you can follow it or follow the writer through thier profile if you like alot of thier articles. I hope this helps.

The focus of HP has turned to the niche sites. Editing services will only be used on hubs being considered for the several new niche domains for the foreseeable future. The niche topics chosen for the next year or so seem to be pets, tattoos, piercings, beauty, food, and beverage. If we don't write...

Just curious, but does anyone have experience with this? How'd you do it? Did you tell Google the article moved somehow or do anything else fancy? Or did you just copy, paste, delete from HubPages, and wait for Google to catch up?Im guessing there might be some duplicate content penalties from...

Hi,Do more experienced Hubbers have any useful tips for getting your article moved to a niche site? I kept seeing advice that goes something like "make sure you write a high-quality article" but it just seems so vague to me. I have 9 articles now and the only one that was moved to a niche...
