    Hi again (lol geeze eh!?)

I changed the title of one of my articles and published it this morning, but after, noticed that the article link was still attached to the original title.

Is there a way to change the original title link? I am not sure how to go about this.

    SOS!

Thank you so much for you help, yet again smile

If you mean the title has change but the url (http...) has not, that is just how it works.  The url cannot be changed after you publish.

Depending on the severity of the issue I would just unpublish the hub quickly (before it gets copied by someone on the internet) and publish again under the corrected URL. For search engine traffic, the URL plays a big role, so I wouldn't just ignore this issue.

If you follow lobobrandon´s advice (he knows a lot more about SEO than the rest of us here so I am sure that advice is sound) and decide to unpublish and then republish, you should choose a general url and not something specific that you might change later. For instance, if you are going to title your article "5 Ways Not to get Angry" do not use that as your URL. Choose "Ways to Not Get angry". If you change the number later, or even the main title, the URL will still be okay.

Also, if the new title is very similar to the old one, it really doesn't matter and might even be a good thing to stick with the same URL. I change titles often if they aren't doing well traffic-wise.

As Dr Mark says, I also took Brandon's advice and now edit the urls of new hubs to keep them general, rather than specific.

I just looked at your article. You changed "As the world weeps" to "Why the world weeps". I do not think it is a good idea to change the URL for that tiny change.
In the future though select a generic URL, not the exact words of the title, and if you change the title later it is not going to be a big deal.

Yes the URL I meant lol! See? Ridiculous when it comes to the correct Tech terms here lol!

Shoot, I didn't realize that once the URL is set, that's it. I figured that I could take one of my drafts and just overhaul it with a totally different topic, rather than starting an entire new article. I didn't even think about the URL.

    Sigh. Lessons, right?

Thank you everyone! Now I know this going forward and won't make that mistake again!

Awesome tips for the URLs going forward! It's the little things that you don't think about, especially when you are on the whole "learning curve" thing.

Really appreciate the input, you guys are awesome smile
