Any tip on how to increase traffic on hubs published on hubpages.com?

   I've noticed that when it comes to traffic, my hubs on network sites (ex. turbofuture, pairedlife) perform a lot better than my hubs on hubpages.com. I'm just wondering if there are certain ways we can do to increase the views for these hubs other than just sharing them on social media. I'm asking this because I've noticed that there's really a huge difference when it comes to views. For example, my hub on pairedlife can easily reach a thousand views in just 30 days while a similar hub on hubpages barely gets any view.

      The best thing to do is improve them so you can submit them to a network site

      Any hubs that remain on the HP site don't get much traffic because HP has basically become a "holding area" until hubs can be moved to the niche sits.  To improve traffic, look at your competition.  If you are up against sites that are well known, you'll never get great views.  Increase wordage where it makes sense to do so, make sure titles match content, make sure capsule headings tell your story and keep your content focused.  Well organized, easy to scan and read hubs that have really good, searchable titles and are on topics for which people want info or answers are the ones that do the best.

   As Bev said, the best or only thing you can do is to get them moved to a niche site so that they are with more hubs of their kind - I mean the subject matter.

      I guess right now that is really the best thing to do. Even so, I can't help but wonder what's the next best thing to do with those hubs that don't qualify and get left behind. I mean, we do spend some time and effort writing them only to realize that if they don't get moved, they will barely get any view. One of my lowest performing hubs only got 7 views after being published and featured for a month! Quite sad.

         Every hub has the potential to be moved as long as it's a general topic and not written as a blog post. If it's not moved, you need to improve it. Since you got some on the niche sites you know how to do this already.

   I just wanted to add a comment pertaining to what the others have mentioned already. I published a hub in 2012 and it lingered on the Hubpages site, never gaining much traffic. I edited the hub and submitted it to a niche site earlier this year. It has gone from 2-3 views a day to almost 100 per day.
   If it has stayed on HP main site I am sure it would still be dragging along.
   (Note: my edit did not include a new Chinese title. In fact, I hadn´t even thought of that one!)
