We are in the final days of the election.
Despite the news reporting of how close some of the races are...
Here is my prediction.
The GOP will gain seats in the Senate and hold majority.
The GOP will retain Majority in the House of Representative.
The GOP will increase governorship in the States.
It has and always has been about the economy.
This year, the Trump economy is unmistakable.
It is going to help the GOP across the nation.
The media is trying to create the appearance of a close race and drum up business so people will watch and follow the elections coverage.
But I think even they know it is a lost cause.
I make these predictions based on my own empirical data.
The Democrats have no message except they are anti-Trump.
Or they are following Bernie Sanders with some socialist agenda...
This is not main stream.
Side note ,One of the Kavanaugh accusers just recanted and admitted her "rape " story was made up and all for political purposes only . THAT Is the typical leftist political strategy , lie ,cheat and steal ..........
Now that it's over with --sweep it under the rug ,lets just forget about it Should we do an entire thread on democratic lies Jacklee ?
Or do we have time ?
"Side note ,One of the Kavanaugh accusers just recanted and admitted her "rape " story was made up and all for political purposes only ."
I haven't seen that reported. Can you give a link?
As a liberal I find it to be infuriating. She’s done harm to women who have real stories to tell and of course accusing someone of sexual assault is not a light accusation. I hope she suffers the necessary consequences.
Plus one to that. That's why I bristle at the suggestion that we believe every woman, every time. There will always be liars among us and as they are exposed they undermine real women with real stories which should be supported.
10 days after the election, some races are still undecided. It seems we are still a third rate nation in some areas when it comes to counting votes...ie Florida Brower County.
I must admit my prediction was wrong on the House. The Democrats won a majority. It seems Jonathan Gruber was right again. Some of the people were not as smart as I gave them credit for. If you look at the congressional district map, most of the Blue wave was in border states and Large metropolis where immigrats are a growing majority. The bulk of the mainland US is red.
It is our democratic system. Let the results speak for it self. The American people deserves the government they elected. It looks like Nancy Pelosi will become Speaker again.
Our government is on a downhill slide for decades. 2 years is a blip... unfortunately, this will do nothing to help our increasing debt. In fact, it will make it much worst. When the Democrats are in conteol of the purse string, you can bet an increase in wasteful government spending.
WoW, is possible to be more wrong than your predictions jackclee? I don't think so: It seems the overwhelming majority of Americans aside from Bozo Trump were aware of the impending BLUE Wave of Righteousness which washed away much of the mega-corrupt repugnantkin odor:
BTW: This election was about healthcare, social security, medicare and medicaid which republicans are desperately trying to destroy, the sanity or insanity of Donald John Trump, and interrupting the semi dictatorship of Bozo Trump by assuming democratic control of the congress and several governorships which can now halt much of his and republicans Russian style agenda:
LOL. If that was a blue wave, it was confined to a bath tub. No blue wave, Jake. Sorry to throw cold hard facts in your bath water.
While it certainly was not a tsunami, GOP retains control of the Senate, but it was more than a running faucet.
The GOP lost ground, despite the happy talk to the contrary.
The "wave" had enough force to change Washington's makeup to now. affect the Trump agenda. With the Dems now in control of the House, there is now a check on Trump and his objectives. That is more than enough victory for me right now.
Let’s hope they will work together for the common good.
I'm not displeased with the outcome either. But, I don't see any reason for either side to high five each other or make crap up as they go along, to pretend there was any type of mandate by the results.
It seemed to me to pretty much follow both history and what the primary forecasters were saying. The Senate was a little iffy, but basically every president loses in the midterms, and that's just what happened. No giant blue wave, no maintaining both houses.
Live to Learn: 35 to 40 house seats flipped to BLUE, 7 Governorships flipped to BLUE, roughly 300 state legislatures filled to BLUE and the senate essentially a wash:
Looks like a Mighty Royal BLUE Wave of Righteousness to me:
Just the facts:
300 Blue-filled state legislatures? That's 6 per state. Damn! How does that work? Facts wise I mean?
GA
Come on GA, I know you and the last remaining Bozo Trump followers are desperate to defend this short timer's every despicable, immoral, unconstitutional and unlawful action, like his latest of insanely attempting to abridge a top notch journalist's freedom to ask questions, but I hope you understand the Crisp BLUE Wave of Democratic Righteousness flipped roughly 300 state legislative SEATS from red to blue:
A total rebuke of Dictator Donald's white nationalist, fascist, Benito Mussolini, Vladimir Putin tendencies: If weakling Trump is truly desirous of being a ruler over minions, before the inevitable indictment which must come if we still have laws, he probably needs to board, strap himself into the pilots seat and fly air force one on a one way trip to Moscow where he belongs before it's too late: I'm sure Vladimir would find some kind of sadistic, hate laced work for him, unless of course Donald has already been squeezed to maximum benefit by Vladimir which could mean he's tossed in to a gulag, black dolphin prison perhaps?
Oh, you mean "seats." Why didn't you say so?
GA
More money was poured into elections trying to make this a 'Blue Wave' than any other in history.
The Democrats pulled in almost $6 dollars out of every $10 spent. Not including private funders like Soros who practically single handedly funded certain campaigns (IE - Florida's Gillum) with millions of his own funds.
In addition to that, all discovered cases of fraud (see Texas) and suspicious ballot counting issues (See Florida) occurred in 'Blue' counties, and favored 'Blue' politicians.
All that said, with all those campaign funds, and additional foreign money being injected, where combined the Democrats outspent Republicans by a substantial amount, the Democrats lost Senate seats, and had at best an 'OK' result for the House (comparing it to mid-term results in the past).
https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4 … in-history
Don't forget, I believe Tom Steyer contributed to the Dems as well, and the overwhelming support from all other patriotic Americans to help the Blue Wave of Righteousness materialize, and it did indeed partially wash the extreme DC corruption away:
The massive amount of money the Dems raised should give you an indication of how critically important it was to flip the house from red to blue in an effort to save what will remain of this rapidly collapsing Russian republican controlled federal government from a mentally unhinged, exceedingly dangerous dictator wanna' be:
And don't forget, even though indictments and or impeachment should soon prevail over Mr. Trump if of course we still have laws, which should leave him attending to that mess instead of another run in 2020, according to reports, he has already amassed a fortune from his elite, filthy rich campaign donors;
Ken great points , I believe that that shows two things , one the steadfastness of conservative voters no matter the media hype of campaign economics AND two that there is definitely some substantial die off of the traditional liberal party in the long run given this Trump phenomena of playing outside of established political roles . All good signs for 2020 . To succeed in the future liberals are going to have to then continue marketing some similar resemblance of painting outside of the usual political lines , they gotta' come up with their own "trump" card .

And just one more reason it will surely cost him his illegitimate presidency and thank God for that: Progressive Democrats may even win a ‘Veto-Proof Senate Majority’ in 2020 to HALT this perpetual oval office ‘Circus of Crazy‘, betrayal and dangerous political stunts: Americans are OUTRAGED with...
