      I just read the lyrics. So, no. By consent standards it doesn't qualify as rape of any kind. But, in the current climate? What doesn't qualify a 'valid' claim of rape?

      Lyrics clearly show female clearly had a choice. So, if she wanted to stay and have "one more drink" that is her business. Not fair to ban a song that many women enjoy at Christmas time. I guess we don't count anymore?  We that know how to conduct ourselves on a date, and are able to make our own decisions on staying or leaving or having one more drink.

   It isn't banned.  Some radio stations are choosing to play it and others are not. That's their choice and not imposed on them by anyone else.  Just as listeners can choose what stations they tune into.  I have heard it several times this week.

   I don't think it should be banned, just like I don't think books that were written 200 years ago and are offensive by today's standards should be banned.  It's culture.  We, as individuals, can choose to partake of it or not.  Our choice.

   I just read an article saying some radio stations are starting to play it again because the decision to pull it was met with such poor reception. Which I think is the right call.
   
   Truthfully I think if you find offense in a Christmas carol you need to perhaps lighten up a little. Though my grandma did refuse to listen to “Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer”....

   But seriously folks... the alleged "controversy" over this song is manufactured social-media nonsense. I was in a grocery store this past weekend when "Baby It's Cold Outside" played over the store speakers. Everyone looked up and laughed, like "Oh, nooooo! It's THAT song!" in mock horror. No one was "triggered."

    If I ran a radio station, I'd play the song continuously for 24 hours one straight. Maybe that's one reason I don't own a radio station. I may alternate versions though.
