Today, I got a notice that one of my top-performing hubs on Turbofuture got plagiarized. I checked the offending site and to my dismay, my article was clearly copied and published as if it was their own.
How will this affect my article's performance on Turbofuture? Will it get taken down? Will it perform poorly now on Google Search?
Sorry. This is the first time that one of my articles got plagiarized and I don't have any experience in handling such situations.
By the way, the site in question is Nazwrites.com. Has anyone got a similar issue with this site? Please let me know.
Welcome to the internet! There is a path you can take which hopefully will result in successful take down of your copied article.
Email the website direct if possible with a polite request for them to remove your original article.
If no response email them again with purpose - if they do not remove your article you will file a DMCA with Google.
If no response go to Whois and look up ownership info. Contact the domain owner and/or abuse contact.
If no response file a DMCA with Google - fill in the form and send it off.
Good luck.
You might want to consider whether it is worth all of this time and effort.
A lot of these copies are by people in Russia or China. The blog they copy to will not affect your article´s performance on Turbofuture, although it is a good idea to see how many page views you are getting and see if this number is going up or down. To the best of my knowledge copies are not going to be higher on Google than your originial.
Your page will definitely not get taken down by HP just because someone has copied it.
(Some people disagree since the blogger is stealing your material. I have found that the only time it matters a lot is if your material is stolen and presented on Youtube.)
Thanks for help! I have already emailed the site in question, as HubPages told me to. I'm still waiting for the response. Just in case I don't get a reply in time, can you please provide the URL to where I can file a DMCA in Google? Would greatly appreciate it.

Is anyone else being plagiarized by free article websites?I recently discovered multiple 'free article' websites that have been copying my articles and pasting them to their own site. They give the web address to the original, but that doesn't make it okay when the entire article is right there....

I posted this hub about MOPS a few days ago: http://thatmommyblogger.hubpages.com/hu … S-Meeting. It took me hours to write, and I wrote it about a very personal topic. There is no chance that I plagiarized it, and I did not post it on any other site.I'm getting a duplicate...

Got my first notices of copied content and sure enough, two are on flixya.com, one on a Menopause site, and one on a Wordpress site. I wouldn't care, only the first three are earning Google Adsense. Even then I wouldn't care, but it is always alarming to think that someone might come...

There is so much of this going on that it may not be worthwhile to mention. Since I know that this site is not cooperative, I sent my DMCA complaint to Google. My hub is copied word for word with all the lovely photographs and even a link to another similar hub. It probably is my best hub with lots...

I looked around and found a contact that deals with copyright issues. Sent the information. They replied promptly, asked a question or two and...
