I'm sorry having to point out a particular article, but I want to make sure that everyone clearly understands my question and what I'm talking about.
I joined HubPages VERY recently. I have published one article (featured), and my other article is still being reviewed.
The first article has been rejected two times. I asked the community to help me understand why this had happened. No one had a clue because the article really was following all the HubPages' rules, the grammar was correct, the line of thought clear.
Turned out it was just a link I had in there that was considered "spammy".
I was fine with this because I was looking for a website that doesn't let just anyone clutter it. That's why I was actually happy to see that there are reviewers and editors really taking their time to assess your article. I am on HubPages partially because I want to get my shot in the writing community (I'm interested in content writing) and I want to seem reliable and trustworthy which I can if the website I'm publishing my articles on has high standards.
EDIT: I removed the link to the article I was referring to. It is never ok to attack your fellow writers who are maybe still getting the hang of it. It wasn't my intention either. Hopefully, this thread will help new Hubbers to understand how HubPages work.
How is this approved? How can it be? There are so many grammatical mistakes, not to mention mistakes when it comes to what HubPages requires. It is even marked as falling into the "literature" category. Is it just a matter of the reviewers not reviewing it yet, but it is automatically published? Is there something I don't get about how HubPages work?
Thanks in advance!
That guy just joined the site 25 hours ago, so it's likely that his "article" (which, I agree, is total junk) hasn't even been reviewed yet. As soon as it does, it'll get bounced.
Hi,
Thank you for your response.
I wasn't sure as to whether articles can, in fact, be viewed by others prior to passing QAP. I guess they can.
Yep, there's a kind of temporary window when you can see brand new hubs before they enter QAP. It can be slightly confusing.
I have flagged it on the grounds that it is very poorly written. On the plus side it's too short.
Yep, it hasn't actually passed QAP yet, so I would delete the link if I were you.
While you are absolutely right that it is dreadful, it's not a good idea to single out hubbers and their articles in this way. You'll notice that there is a flag facility on the left side of every hub - you can use it to report any low-quality or copied hubs you come across
Hi,
Thank you for your response!
I was really hesitant to publish it because I didn't want to attack anyone personally and I agree with you. I will probably delete it in a few minutes. It was really a matter of my own curiosity and I wanted to find out whether HubPages really do offer only high-quality content (which I do regularly find here). Thanks again!

Hi Hubbers,This is the 3rd time I have adjusted, rewritten, deleted etc words, phrases, names from this story and the 3rd time I have received an email saying that its too spammy..whatever that means. Your description of spammy is very vague. So perhaps someone, here, could use exact examples of...

The article in question was "Good Title and Caption Ideas for Content Creators". Here is the link to the unpublished page at least showing the url (https://discover.hubpages.com/technology/Caption-Ideas). I published this article on 2-21-22. There is usually a 1 day wait time for...
