It seems we get so bogged down in taking sides, that the major objective is to have undying devotion to "my" side.  Aren't some things supposed to be clear cut.

Lindsay Graham enlisted the support of Democrats in trying to put the Syrian fire out.

If Hunter Biden is wrong to work for a Ukranian company, aren't Trumps' kids wrong for participating in running the government and nurtuing relationships with foreign companies (plus a murderous dictator?

HRC mishandled her emails and had a private server at home.  Isn't it also wrong for Trump to have a private phone that he uses to keep his dealings secret.  His children and cabinet members use their personal cellphones for government business.

Are the accounts coming out of State Department people troubling?  Should the Constituion be re-written or should there be more guardrails - regardless of who the president is?

      Exactly, I agree with this.

If Clinton having a private server, private phones, and then deleting 32,000 emails and destroying those servers and phones when asked to turn them over is not a crime... ... then don't say what Trump is doing is a crime.

If Clinton moving hundreds of millions in 'donations' through the Clinton Foundation, is all fine and legal.  If Joe Biden meeting with the Chinese and then his son's investment firm gets 1.5 billion from a Chinese bank is on the up-and-up... than any business arrangement the Trump kids get involved with is legit as well.

Don't talk about how corrupt Trump is... yet blow off all the blatant corruption and wrongdoing done by the Clintons and Biden while supposedly serving the people of America.

Trump is a crook? So what?  Who cares? At least he didn't make his billions selling out America, at least he didn't start wars killing tens of thousands of people for his pocket full of gold like they did.

That's why at least 45% of America does not care what CNN says and never will.  That is why they don't care what the Democrats charge Trump with and they never will.

They are just as dirty, corrupt, criminal as Trump is, if not more so... and at least 45% of America figured that out a long time ago.

We don't need crooks in the WH regardless of party.  Perhaps there should be a security procedure in place to vet potential political candidates.

          There are.

But they are being 'enforced' by the corrupt.

That is what should be so stunning to people.  It is obvious I would think, that there is something wrong when a former SoS is told to turn in her emails and devices, and instead she destroys them all, and she is fully exonerated for her actions.

It should be startling, when people find out a fabricated dosiere was created, and with the aid of top FBI, CIA, and Obama Admin officials it was used to investigate the Trump campaign so that they could try to derail it, and then attempt to frame them for conspiring with Russia.

And we had the bulk of the media try to convince Americans for more than two years that these, and worse allegations were absolutely and resolutely beyond doubt.

It kind of exposes the whole system doesn't it?

I mean when Paul Ryan along with half the Republicans in the House and a handful of Senators would rather resign than get changes for the people done with their majority... it reveals just a bit what a sham our system of government has become.

The system has not been serving the people for decades now... it is why we got Trump as President.  Trump is not the cause of the problems, we got Trump because of all the corruption and problems.

What do you think the causes are?  Why don't you run for office?

            1. Ken Burgess profile image80

              What are the causes?

In short, there has always been corruption, but today we are living in a time where two thirds of the top 100 richest economies are not nations, they are corporations.  Where there are individual people, single persons, who hold more wealth than many nations.

We have the United Nations, Central Banks, we are off the Gold Standard, there are many things that apply to our current times that did not exist in the past, which allow a transformital corruption on the scale we see today.

When has there ever been a time, when those who are put in a position to lead can make themselves millionaires, even billionaires, by being a politician?

I don't run because I am too honest and too blunt, to be a good politician.

Do you feel that the Middle East issues are none of our business?

                  Well...

The American economy, the dollar, and its status as the world's reserve, is tied to oil. More Specifically Saudi, Kuwait, UAE production.

One of the reasons we have been in a near constant war-stance against Iran and Russia the past couple decades is because of their production of oil, how it undercuts the economy of America's allies, and America's position in the world.

Through Jimmy Carter's incompetence and ignorance of how the world really worked, Iran was allowed to fall into revolt and America lost its ally, and control of its oil production.

And while the USSR collapsed, and for a while 'Western' corporations were able to gain access to their oil and gas resources, when Putin was put in charge, he reclaimed the oil and gas for Russia, and forced outside influences out.

Since then Iran and Russia have been allies against America in a effort to minimize the power of America and the Petrodollar.

You see, ever since Nixon took America off the Gold Standard, the dollar has been tied to oil, due to the agreement with OPEC.  Nixon and Kissinger dumped the Bretton Woods arrangement for the new Petrodollar system. The global artificial demand for U.S. dollars would not only remain intact, it would soar due to the increasing demand for oil around the world.

The limited production of oil was artificial, and was exposed once Iran and Russia began flooding the markets with their oil and natural gas.  In addition to Iran and Russia, Libya and Venezuela also participated and joined their efforts.  America ensured both those nations ended up demolished because of it.

Without constant war in Iraq, Libya, skirmishes between Iran and Saudi Arabia, the destruction of Venezuela's production of oil, and the constant pressure being put on Russia, oil might be as low a $10 a barrel and the entire structure for which the world economy is built would collapse.

America has no choice but to continue to harass, destroy, and wage war against the world's leading oil producers... now more than ever.  America is no longer the world's primary manufacturer of goods.  America no longer is leading the way in new cutting edge technological advances.

So the only thing America has left is its tie in to Oil, and its military might to impose its will against any nation that steps out of line, especially minor nations like Libya or Iraq.

The dilemma it has now, is what to do with China, the world is more dependent on China's products and China's economic aid than it is America... as China's power grows, America will fade.

Soon enough we will be out of the Middle East, and out of time for the Petrodollar.  Probably within our lifetimes, perhaps even a decade from now.

                    Ken,

Interesting analysis and way beyond the capacity of most people on this site to even comprehend.

Is this particular opinion obtained through work experience or education?

Here's a question: Why hasn't the Trump administration gone after Clinton?

I agree with the basic premise. How do all those emails get destroyed? It's worth an investigation and Trump clearly has the power to do this.

Why hasn't he? He ran his campaign on the phrase "lock her up". Why not? I don't support the man, but he could get a lot of mileage out of the corruption angle and starting this kind of investigation. If she did that on purpose or somebody did it for her, that person should be put in jail. That's not their information. It's the people's information.

          Good Question...

I think this best explains it:

I appreciate that link. However, if the Justice Department won't follow through, why didn't Republicans in Congress start an investigation? They certainly chased all that Benghazi stuff until the bitter end. Why not investigate the email destruction. To me, that seems like a better use of their time.

There's always a lot of chaos in foreign affairs and incidents like Benghazi, where it was clear to me that there was too much blame to go around to drop it all on Clinton. However, pursuing an investigation about her email server seems like an interesting thing to do.

Perhaps the problem is that too many politicians use such servers and it would bring out too many skeletons?

              Another good question.

I would speculate that there are enough of them that are in the same boat.  Birds of a feather flock together.

The likes of Paul Ryan, John McCain, Jeff Flake, are no different really than Nancy Pelosi or Joe Biden.  Sellouts.  They are as deep into the D.C. corruption as any Democrat, and when push comes to shove and they have an opportunity to do something for the American people, and their party, whether its repealing the ACA or getting national gun law passed, they find a way of making sure it doesn't get done.

And as you say, many of them have "skeletons".  Many of them work on behalf of the same corporations or interests as those corrupt Democrats.

This is always where we diverge. The examples you've given of sellouts are always Democrats or what you probably consider RINOs.

In my experience, those under the corporate thumb are more frequently Republicans. Big oil. Big tobacco; etc. Republicans always seem to be the one putting corporations first.

Now, that said, I think Democrats are starting to realize just how much people in their party are also corporate whores.

If it seems I favor the Republican side of the house it is because that is where we have had the most disruption the past decade.

Since the passing of the ACA, there has been a push back from "middle America" to get the government to serve their interests, and this has played out mostly via Republican candidates.

It started with a wave of elections the cast out long standing politicians, Democrat and Republican, this was termed the Tea Party movement, but it is the same 'movement' that Trump plugged into to get himself elected.

Only recently has this disruption spread to the Democratic party, only this is playing out with politicians that are pushing a Socialist/Globalist criteria or so it seems to me.

These disruptions are making it difficult to keep a lid on the corruption which spread like a cancer in D.C. for the last quarter century.  Ever since Bush Sr.s speech where he declared the NWO, we have been been marching along the same path no matter which party held control of Congress or the White House.

This letter to Erdogan tells us that something happened before Trump wrote this letter.  Were national security advisors listening in on the call would Erdogan?  Why does DJT insists on not being "spied" on when he is talking to international leaders?  This letter is being widely discussed.  If I understand correctly, DJT attached a copy of correspondence from the Kurds?
