   Migrant Teen Lay for Hours in His Cell Before He Was Found Dead
   
   A video shows the boy in severe distress. He was discovered by his cellmate, not immigration officials, as they originally claimed.
   
   "Carlos Gregorio Hernandez Vasquez collapsed onto the concrete floor of his Border Patrol holding cell early one morning in May. He lay still, next to a toilet in his sweatshirt and jeans for four hours before his cellmate woke up and found him dead."

But a video recording provided by the Police Department in Weslaco, Texas, which initially investigated the case, shows that his death was flagged by his cellmate. Customs and Border Protection officials have not explained why the recording — in which the teenager vomits blood on the floor, his body crumpling and squirming in apparent distress — has a four-hour gap or why the nurse practitioner’s advice was ignored."

   More Mexican are killed at the boarder for drugs than killed in Afghanistan. I couldn't imagine how badly they treat them in customs jail's.

   Despite Congress' infusion of funds to help the situation, asylum seekers and their children continue to be treated like cattle, and many are sick, abused, even dying.

      What is with all these Trump supporters who defend his actions and can't see anything wrong with what he does? Where are their values? I have friends and relatives among these people. One day I jokingly told my husband that aliens must be seeking out the gullible and pulling the wool over their eyes. But it is no joking matter. It does make one wonder though.

         I don't know. It is sad and scary. One of my good friends is a Trumpeter. He is an upstanding citizen in the community, lending his talents to many worthy causes. I just worked side by side with him to put on a Christmas event. We stay away from national.politics, but I overheard him tell a fellow Trumpeter that he felt bad for the kids at the border but it's their parents' fault, and what else could Trump do? "Takin' their kids away will make 'em think twice about comin' here."
         
         I don't get it.

            I almost wish it were that. Unfortunately, it's much scarier than that. These "good people" are knowingly and willingly turning a blind eye to Trump's abuses in exchange for  his protection (in their view).

               Panther, outside the natural affinity of those of Trump's socioeconomic class having the need to support him and that which I understand, how do those not so wealthy stand to benefit? How is he protecting them? When one delves into it, the real reasons that they support Trump are far uglier.
               
               Ask the white evangelicals how this man is seen as the equivalent of the return of the Messiah? A portly angel, with soiled wings...

   Now that Trump is the chosen one from God. What's next?, since it's so difficult for a wealthy man to get to heaven. Trump will build a highway for the wealthy to heaven, then sell mansion in the sky and get the Muslims to pay for it.
