You are right. I looked at the copycat website because I have a friend, a college student (masters level), who has some of her papers published on Owlcation and I wanted to see if any of her work was there. It wasn't. I think it is too deep for the average person to want to read. I'm not a scientific intellectual, so I don't publish there.
I had already read several of these articles on HP. The website promises color photos, but doesn't come through, and there's nary an attribution. This is a shameful example of theft of copyrighted materials.

Looks like all the content on that site has come from Owlcation. I've alerted a couple of hubbers but can't do them all.

Hetzner.com is the web hosting company, masked by Cloudfare.
This is their abuse report form.

How did you find that? I use domaintools and I can see Cloudflare but I can't see Hetzner at all. I generally go straight to Cloudflare and they forward the DMCA on to the relevant parties, but I would really like to be able to identify the host.

Checking whois.net and still can't see Hetzner. Do you have a magic source? big_smile

I filled in Cloudfare's abuse form here:

        https://www.cloudflare.com/abuse/form

They always reply back with the standard blurb about not actually being a hosting company, but they usually provide the web address for their clients abuse form (or the email address for reporting abuse)

( No magic required lol )

Thank you, Eugene. I discovered the masked by Cloudflare part, but I didn't get any further even when I used whois.net.

If your content has been copied you can also file a DMCA notice with Google search to have it removed here. Click "Submit a Legal Request" to get started.
