I am confused, I have several articles on the Hubpages platform written several years ago. Since that time I am dealing with terminal cancer disease. Due to this, I have not been able to follow the activities on my accounts. It did not matter much as Google Adsense was a simple procedure. When I had a payment due, it was sent.... Now I am receiving notifications that I may have lost this revenue due to inactivity??????? Is this true??? I joined this site with the belief that I could submit articles and leave them to earn without the need to continuously monitor their progress. I have enrolled in PayPal and submitted my info...My question....do I still retain the ability to earn from my work or has fine print been implemented to eradicate my rights to these articles?
The same thing happened to me. I joined HP, published a few articles, then "went away" for a few years while I was dealing with illness. HP denied me the revenue that was accrued during the time I wasn't active with no notice to me. I didn't find out about it until I returned. I have never been able to find anything in the Learning Center about losing income due to inactivity. I was shocked and disappointed that they didn't even bother to notify me about potentially losing earnings due to inactivity.
Look under your Earnings on MyAccount. Make sure your Ad Program is active. We can no longer use AdSense, and all earning come from HubPages. I'm thinking that's why you don't have any earnings from Adsense. You may find that you earn more from the HP Ad Program, and they pay quite regularly.
Sorry for the illness @Reality Bytes. I hope you will recover
Wow this must be a new policy. I have not heard this issue mentioned before. It may be wise to post a co-account holder, someone who has your passwords and can take it on or help out during periods when you are not able to.
Why should anyone need to monitor the accounts? The articles are published and have been earning until recently. When I published the articles it was on a set and forget basis. For years all I had to do was go to my bank on the 23rd of the month to retrieve my earnings. Now I am seeing a message on my "earnings" page concerning inactivity. The articles are written. submitted, and accepted, what other activity is necessary?
Are you referring to payments from Google Adsense or directly from HubPages via PayPal?
If it is the first, then HubPages are no longer using Adsense in the way that they were, therefore it's possible that Adsense will close your account due to inactivity.
If the second, then I seem to remember something about Hubpages and 12 months inactivity... but I'm not sure. Best to contact team@hubpages.com.
I'm guessing that she was using Adsense only and that's why she hasn't got any earnings.
Ladymermaid, this is not a new policy. I joined in 2008, published a few articles and then returned in 2012 to write again. The message on my earnings was that HP had withheld them because I was not active for four years. I can understand why they would do that, thinking maybe I had abandoned the account. But they should have contacted me sometime during those 4 years to let me know about the policy and give me the opporunity to either abandon the account or become active again.
There should be recourse. Did you contact HubPages directly?

How does one earn from articles published on HubPages? I have never earned anything, I have posted about 11 articles and one in particular has had over 4000 viewings. At the moment I have stopped creating new articles for the platform.

I'm seeing the worst earnings in my entire time on this platform. I hope it's simply me, but my Amazon and Google earnings are almost nothing these days. Is it time to sell my account, make like a cow turd, and hit the trail? It's been a long and lucrative run for me, but it looks like it's over if...

Is google adsense only paying for clicks and not impressions? My adsense earnings have almost gone down to nothing. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm having the hardest time trying to figure out Google Adsense. I applied for it, I was accepted, and it said ads will begin to appear in one of my hubs. In my account the earnings program is active and so is Google Adsense. The question is, do I have to do anything to add Google Adsense to my...

Hi to all there! I hope that u all are fine! Hi To Hubpages team, What I am going to suggest is to add Chitika ads (similar to adsense) to Hubpages earnings. I'm saying so because there are many people whose adsense account are banned forever. This feature should be added to Hubpages as it will...
