Do you do this regularly? I sometimes check ads and discover the product is no longer on sale. Is there any way code could check Amazon ads automatically and notify us of discontinued or out of stock products. HubPages scans for plagiarised content automatically so I guess it might be possible to do this.
They check automatically for dead links generally and flag them for us. But not with Amazon ones, which surely are more important. So I guess there are technical reasons why it's not possible. It would be useful though.
Even if they flagged them automatically I would not waste my time fixing them. Amazon now pays us with chicken feed and has let us know that they do not value any effort we make, and it is up to us to delete their links (and not fix them) if we do happen to notice that they are useless.
I have checked them before but I don't do it regularly. It was more important when I had my own sites and one of them sold products regularly.
At any rate, yeah, interesting point. It would be handy to have it checked automatically. It's not relevant to me here at HP because I don't really make anything from Amazon here, even my one article that made regular sales is now useless after having been variously fiddled with by editors.
Anyway, end of my mostly editorial response.

How do you check whether your Amazon products are still available? When you only have a few hubs, you can just click and see if the products are still available (although I'm not sure we're really supposed to do this, does anyone know?). But what do you do when you have hundreds of hubs and three if...

I really don't know what to do...keep using Amazon capsules or change to Ebay due to the easier report in HubPages. Help would be good in this case.

I am currently writing a product hub and found a great bit of kit to include but on amazon it is currently unavailable and they do not know when or if this item will be back in stock. Is it worth including this item on my hub or shall I go searching for something similar?
