How long does it usually take when your article is chosen to be edited by Hubpro? I have an article which was edited before but only took 48 hours while this new one is taking so long. Its been more than a week since I received an email about it and I am still seeing my notification that they are planning on editing my article. Do you know what affects the timeframe of their edit?
Usually takes mine 2-4 weeks, and in some cases multiple months.
It must be said, however, that I used to get "pending transfer" emails which told me to edit them myself that I no longer receive, and most of my articles take about 2 weeks to be edited for grammar.
It can take some time. But, you can reach out to the editors and ask the status.
Hi there. Depending on the type of edit that your article was sent for, it can take anywhere from a few days or weeks to many months for it to be edited. Please revisit the email that you received from us about the edit in question for more information; while it won't include an exact date, it should indicate whether it will be edited soon or is in a queue that may take us longer to get to.
In any case, congratulations on having an article selected for HubPro editing. That's a big accomplishment!
Best,
Haley
I see, thanks Kyler. I was just curious why it is taking so long when the first article only took 2 days. So usually its a lot longer.
I've never received an email stating HP is going to edit an article. I only receive them after the fact!
I believe they are confusing the, "pending transfer," emails with something that says they're going to be edited. If you let those emails go by, or don't receive them, they'll automatically edit your articles for you after a set amount of time.
In the last two months, I've submitted four of my articles to network sites. Editors did not reject any of them, but they did place them all in an editorial queue. I've emailed the editors twice to know the status but haven't heard anything back from them.
Congratulations on having four articles placed in our editing queue! As Paul mentioned, that means our editorial team believes in the potential of that content. He is also right, however, that depending on how many other articles are in the queue, it can take a very long time for that content to be edited.
You are always welcome to revisit that content and perform edits yourself; looking at our HubPages Writing Style Guide (https://hubpageshelp.com/standards/HubP … tyle-Guide) and the editorial policy for the site you submitted your articles to can give you some great ideas about how to improve your content. Performing these kinds of edits may increase the likelihood that it can be accepted to one of our network sites more quickly. The other articles in the HubPages Help center are also worth checking out if you haven't already.
Kindly,
Haley
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer, Haley.
Thank you so much. I appreciate your time answering and giving clarity to our questions.
It can sit in the queue for a long time (numerous weeks). That's my experience. Just rejoice that they've chosen you. That means they think that the article has a lot of untapped potential.
Thanks, maybe you are right. i will just wait until they are finished editing.
I see. Thank you, Paul, for sharing your experience
Are you guys talking about articles you submit to niche sites or articles that HP moves to niche sites?
I've never gotten a "pending" email nor a "we're editing your article" email. I receive edit notifications to articles that are already on niche sites.
Perhaps I don't post enough to get the emails that are referred to in this thread.
On another note, some of my articles that remain on HP have been moved to Discover (slush of the pond) once two or more additional comments have been made. That opens the article up to the capacity to move beyond Discover and into a niche site. Whether or not HP looks to bump them up the ladder remains to be seen.
If I weren't still working full time I could pay more attention. But I am, so I don't. But y'all have encouraged me to pay more attention to the ranking of my work.
Hi Bravewarrior, I haven't paid much attention to submitting articles to niche sites. I just receive emails whenever HP chose an article to edit. I also received notifications on whichever article they are planning to work on.
Shauna, I was talking about the articles that I have submitted to network sites
I get either a yay or nay when I submit to a niche site. I've never received a "pending" email. As I said, my articles only seem to be edited once they're on niche sites, and I'm never forewarned that an edit is in the works.
Shauna, One of my articles was edited by editors after it was moved to a niche site, while many more were moved without making any edits. In the case of one of my articles that was recently moved to youmemindbody.com, I didn't submit that article to a niche site but I received an email from the editors, and they requested me to add more information to the article because the article was considered thin. They transferred that article to the network site without making any changes after I added some more information in that article.

I have an article that an editor has made substantial changes too. Including adding a bio that they wrote themselves. I have not seen an edit this bad in quite some time on one of my articles, and I do not want to go through the whole article and rewrite half of it. I've already spent countless...

Hello Beautiful souls,I currently have 161 featured articles on HP. The majority of them are already on Network sites. A few of them have been in the editors' queue for about 9/10 months. Actually, there were more than 161 articles. Over the course of two months, I deleted nearly ten of my...

If your Hub has been moved to a niche site does that mean it is considered decent enough quality and not needing HubPro editing, even if you opt in to Premium?Or is everything still fair game?

I have been pleased with the audience and revenue for my articles on HubPages since joining the site some years ago.I commend the company for creating the successful niche sites at a time when similar sites were folding. My existing articles that moved to those sites have done even better than...

I just got the "happy" news that one of my hubs about Cancer Moon Sign People has been moved to Exemplore. I don't feel happy, it was moved there months ago, and there was nothing wrong with it. It was well written when I wrote it.I give links on hubs like this so people can find...

Editing doesn't seem to happen any more. Maybe it's been discontinued as a cost cutting exercise?
