It is a bit disheartening. Simply, there are very few people interested in the things that I have the most interest in.
I will still write about those things, because I still want to reach the few who are interested. But I will not make it my priority anymore.
You have to build a following. It takes a bit of effort. Read other people's work, make comments and interact. Your work, like most people's, won't be seen until you get it out there. Generally, it's a two-way thing.
I asked you, in another thread, for your Medium username so I can follow you there.
I don't want to give out my user name right now, for a few reasons
No. You've got to sell yourself out there.
According to your profile, you are interested in "science, philosophy, history, the paranormal and nature". It seems to me there are lots and lots and lots of people interested in those things.
One of the biggest mistakes people make on HP is to write about things they want to write about. Instead, ask yourself what other people want to know and figure out how you can help them. In fact, you don't even have to ask yourself. You can find out with keyword research.
Once you have a list of topics, pick ones you are knowledgeable about or a least have an interest in researching.
If you do this, you will reach people, get traffic, and maybe even make some money if you care about that. But the key is to figure out what other people want to know about and how you can help.

I was wondering if anyone would consider taking the time to stroll through my hubs and read a few? I would love more feedback, and I think it would help me get to know other hubpage authors. Thanks!

If I start a blog with my birding pictures at Boomer Lake would people be interested in viewing?I would also have some commentary and music that would be related to nature.

Are there many other people interested in food that is both non-dairy and gluten-free? It seems...there are a growing number of options for one or the other but not many for both.

How do you get more people interested in your hubs and eventually make some money.I don't seem to be asking or answering the right questions. I also don't seem to be writing something that is striking interest. I have never asked for help or never been as poor as I am now, never had trouble...

It is bad enough that medical costs have gotten out of control, but now it seems that dental costs are following suit. Unfortunately, there is no insurance you can buy that really protects you in the same way that medical insurance does. So, for example, if you want a specialist to give...
