My hubs about sex get the most hits.

   Recently one of my hubs about sex with older women reached over 2,000 hits.  My other most popular hubs are about sex and one about funny cop stuff.
   I'M still learning the best ways to promote my hubs but it is a slow process due to lack of effort and understanding on my part.
   I recently wrote articles on ezine to promote hubs and have gotten decent traffic from the site.
   Question....does anyone else get better traffic on hubs about sex?

      Yes, well, somewhere along those lines. Mine would be:
      
      1) Women Posing Naked.
      2) Why the Big Breasts? - this one's actually about food safety (chicken breasts) but the title does reel them in. Lol.

      I would be very scepticle about publishing anything which Adsense refuses to advertise on. And the lack of competition within these areas would indeed see high numbers of visitors.
      
      But, just an idea, have you thought about changing that hub to 'no adsense'.... because you are left with some empty boxes. Might look better if you just turned the ads off?

      I wrote a hub called "Sex and the Japanese Man", which is not actually about "sex" at all, rather it describes the options available for a japanese male in Japan. This one hub accounts for almost a third of all of the traffic from 24 hubs - but there are no Google Ads displayed because, I think, the URL and title contains the word "sex",  - and so I earn not a penny from it.

   Good luck with the sex advertising, a lot of sites don't like it when people do that and it is ban-able as adult content for advertising sex in a lot of places.

   My two most popular posts have sex related titles, they account for 40% of all my traffic! out of 42 hubs!
   
   Forget that bannable, BS, the real issue is that the related ads are very low paying, your lucky to get a click worth .05 cents.
   
   So I wouldnt intentionally write sex based hubs for the traffic as its low paying and non converting(In my experience and has been repeated by many different people in the forums

      Very true...they don't pay much...a few Amazon sales but other that that....pennies.  I've never had an article banned for content other than one for over promotional stuff.

   You have to keep in mind that consistently poor converting traffic will lower your overall profits to your entire account.
   
   Many people swear by removing their adsense from low performing pages in order to keep their conversion rates up (a measure we dont have access to) and continue being served the highest paying ads for their content

   I didn't, although what people do is make them sexy picture hubs and have legit 1,500 of them. .05 cents a click for every 30-50 pageviews (what seems to be average) X5,000(1500) =
   
   5,000 x 1500 = 7,500,000 Views / 50 = 150,000 clicks x .05 = $7,500 on .05 cents a click.
   
   I took one of the Photo Hubs shinujohn2008 has. (over 3333 total hubs, many at least 1,500 are picture) and put it in the Google Keyword tool. All the ads go for prices of .05 cents all the way to .93 cents.
   
   Go figure, for all we know the range of all her photo hubs are between minimum $7,500 to MAX $139,000 USD.

      a click for every 30-50 pageviews is possible  (most,will prob see 1 per 100 pvs though) people strive to keep a 2-3% CTR and the better made for adsense sites that use every trick in the book see at best 8-10%
      
      Photo hubs have been stated to convert much lower than most, i think said by shinjujohn ,maybe just trying to keep competiotion down?
      
      to keep it in perspective; im not surprised to hit 2.+ per click, but am surprised at under .75

    It is a known fact that the three most popular topics are sex, money and free on the internet.  Search Engine Optimization companies have done the research and categorized the subjects on Google and the most searched topic is health related even though　it is not listed as a popular topic.

       I can vouch for this as I have written three hubs on Health and they are doing fab. I fell upon this through a family crisis and was shocked how well they actually continue to produce organic traffic.
