Talk to God, call the girl friend and bore her to death, plan to rob a bank, slip into headmaster's office to pinch his wand etc
I catch up with my favorite TV shows on Hulu.com!
I try to stay offline when I get insomnia - it's too easy to get sucked in for hours and hours.
when I can't sleep...truthfully I write not hubs but on my stories...
That's the best, most creative use of your time, and I think lack of sleep gets you into sort of an altered state of conciousness which is good for creative writing.
i dont have problems about not sleeping well at night, maybe because my body and mind is too tired at times!
I used to bother my wife but the honeymoons over if I wake her now she'll make me pay later.
When I can't sleep I read or write.
Sometimes just dream listening to favourite music - nothing special, just spending time.
Addicted to hubpages lately
Watch TV, read, write, listen to music. All of those things usually help me to sleep. If all else fails I usually take an Advil PM or something like that.
I watch TV or go online. It's a great time to get some writing done.
I can't sleep without noise of some kind, so I either fall asleep listening to music or with a dvd on my pc. If I've switched my pc off then I don't turn it back on again. When I had trouble sleeping as a kid my mum would always tell me to just relax and not stress out about the fact I couldn't sleep. Strangely enough that actually helps sometimes!
I did some writing last night. Tonight I am voluntarily staying up to watch Kenneth Branagh on Craig Ferguson at 12:30
take my extra allowed allotment of xanax Im allowed for the day..lol..hey whatever works
Whenever I cannot sleep , I usually watch bad TV or mke mindless comments here at Hubpages just to see who I can annoy !
When I can't sleep, I watch old black and white movies . My friends call it the dead peoples chanel. I write in my sleep. Seriously.
Can't remember the last time I couldn't sleep. On the other hand, working through the night is normal for me, so as long as I get some rack time somewhere in any give 36 hour period, I figure I'm good to go.
I usually take a long hot soak in the tub, by the time I finish drying my hair, I'm ready for sleep....
Is there room in that tub for me and my rubber duckie?
Awwwwww...Yoshi, you won't have time for your rubber duckie....
I don't know ... bath time without duckie is a scary thought ...
*shudders*
I log in and cause havok on hubpages during the night shift ...
I bash my head repeatedly with a ball peen hammer until I get dwowwwwwsey.....................
I get out of bed and go look at the couch. Don't know what it is about the couch but I take one look at it and my eyes start rolling into the back of my head. Now I can sleep.
I read books or sometimes watch TV for about an hour. Then I go back to bed and try to sleep again. Everybody needs rest.
I write on HP and chat on the forums. I think that's why I can't sleep! I don't want to miss anything here! lol
I just do things. Often I write. There are many reasons why one can not sleep. If it is because you have things on your mind...air them via paper or computer. If your body just isn't comfortable get up and stretch out on the floor. If you have an upset stomach drink some almond or soy milk and tell your self not to eat so late next time. If you are lonely it seems you all found the answers to take care of that. If you can't sleep it is not time for bed is the way I look at it.

I am one of the MANY people afflicted by insomnia~~ My brain just won't shut down when it's "supposed" to... Perhaps I am a vampire and just don't realize it yet :-)!!! If you have the same problem, have you found a solution or anything that helps on those sleepless nights??

It is almost 530am,and I can't sleep to save my life. The kids will be up in 4hrs-so it isn't like I have a shot of sleeping later, so rather than stare at the wall-figured I'd ask- have u ever had one of those weeks that isn't quite normal-and life seams off balance overall? I feel drained-not...
