Opinions on Xomba?

   Hello, I did a bit of searching on here to see what people are saying about Xomba but I can't find much. I just found out about Xomba and barely know what it is and am just wondering if anyone on here has had much luck with it as a source of backlinks. Does anyone make money on that site too?

   I've just started using Xomba - it's kind of a cross between eHow and Digg - but it also allows you to add your Adsense account like Hubpages - I have more of my thoughts on my 'newbies guide' hub.
   
   I've had some traffic to Hubapges through it so I'm happy so far...

   I have a Xomba account, but it sat for a really long time without my doing much on it.  I didn't like the whole look/feel/attitude (a kind of silly one, I thought) of the site.  I've seen a few earnings show up, but - really - I didn't do anything to promote or be active on the site. 
   
   Not too long ago they changed their whole look, and I kind of like the looks of it now; so I fixed up my profile and added some links to my Hubs (and a few other things).  I don't really know what I'm doing on that site, but I do really like the look of the new profile; and I like that the site doesn't seem like a bizarre, weird, thing any longer.  I still really need to learn more about what to post, what to do, etc.  I actually finally got so I wasn't so embarrassed by the whole look of the Xomba site and the stuff I "dumped" into it (because I didn't care and didn't know what I was doing) that I posted the link on my main blog.  I think it's like most other sites, though:  If you post the kind of stuff people search for, are active, know what you're doing, etc., it's probably like so many others as far as earning goes.  I do tend to think the nature, flavor, design, popularity of, and way HubPages operates, makes HubPages one the better sites as far as earnings potential goes.  Xomba lets you post links to your other stuff, so there's that much.  They've come a long way "polished-wise", though, so I don't think it's ever bad to keep an account open.

   I use Xomba and really like it! You can post Xomblurps that are very short and quick and give you your backlink (Xomba sports a PR of 5)or opt for an xombyte which only has to be 150 words (I think.) I wrote a post about Xomba as well as some other web 2.0 sites (Hubpages too ) at my blog http://www.cashblog-n.com/cash-blogging … -for-free/
   This my be snipped, but just trying to answer the question as best I can.
   You could link to your hubs and have to ability to earn money from your backlinking articles as well...a win-win!

   If used with an eye to popular topics  you can earn very well, the format of the site leads to very high clickthrough rates, im enjoying a 10-15% clickthrough with them...ive been keeping up to date earnings summary on my hubs about paid backlink sites..xomba makes more in a day thaN THE OTHERS DO IN A MONTH.

   Xomba is a very good site which is simple to use and make money. Xomba, like any other site has rules to be followed. Xomba is not a site for "dumping stuff" as you will soon learn.
   
   My friend you better learn how not to keep all your eggs in one basket.

   If you want to make enough money with adsense then you must join xomba. Moreover the big G is in love with xomba and your post is indexed and ranked within 5 minutes which is unbelievable

      I've noticed that they get indexed fast too, and some subjects do seem to rank very highly in google. I also have been getting a high click through rate. Its definitely worth using.

   One interesting thing happened today with Xomba. I created a new hub yesterday - and then created a Xomba entry that links to this hub less than an hour ago. (HUB: Dragon Age Cheats)
   
   The Hubpage is not listed in the top 3 pages of Google when searching for 'Dragon Age Cheats', however the Xomba is - it was listed within 30 minutes.....

      If you want your hub indexed faster than your post on xomba, blog something small about your new hub on blogspot. This way you do not have to wait for hours to see your hub on google search engine.

         is it really true NGureco - that posts on blogspot gets indexed even faster with Xomba? If you say so - it must be the case.
         As you you know my Xomba experience has been terrific.
         
         In reply to the original post - Xomba is a great site not just for backlinks - but for your original writings too - which one can post as Xombytes. It is easy to use too and definitely has has better money making potential than anything else I have seen on the net.

    I have written a little bit on Xomba, not seen much traffic though.  As well as this Xomba has been getting quite a bit of bad press on a few websites for bans (With refusal to return copyright content to the owner) and their sneaky way of turning links to no-follow (All though in all fairness they do say that al links you place will be no-follow)
    
    From personal experience, I have seen nothing particularly bad in Xomba, but I definitely prefer to spend my time on Hubpages!

    Good for the blurbs (if that's what the shorter posts are called) as they index very very quickly,  but I wouldn't spend too long writing long original articles there for the reasons 'Thisisoli' has stated above.

    I have been very impressed with the results of using Xomba.  Of the views that have had my impressions on them, about 1 out of 10 has produced a click. 
    
    I am also seeing a click through rate of 1 out of every 5 views. This adds up.
