Desire and Imagination. How helpful are they?. Desire and imagination are very helpful in our daily living because I've found out they two are useful to us to effectively function as gods in our creative abilities. The questions are what pictures and images do you incubate in your imagination and the motive of your desires? Are they good, acceptable and glorious? How helpful are they?

visualization and desire are the core of my path, the core, Inner (God Self,) that is to be much more integrated with the outer mind and manifestation in the earthly realm. the use of desire and visualization make use of areas of the brain that need to be raised in consciousness.

Desire is to be for harmony, peace and doing and having things that contribute to a better self, society and to more healthy and wholistic actions. Visualization of beauty, goodness, health, love, nature, etc (having pictures in your living spaces for instance) or of what you want to create for your self or others can be very powerful. Right desire and right visualization can be used for good.

Likewise, ugly visualizations and desire that is less than helpful for good.

Think about it, what we look at in day to day life affects us. what we feel in day to day life affects us. there are thought-forms in our subconscious that we don't even know are there that can harm us.

We would become healthier by focusing on beauty and healthy desire big_smile

Desires come from the source or god. Each has his or her own desires which need to be burned out or lived through.Imagination is the power to see this desire fulfilled in the future and both go hand in glove.Imagination gives you the strenght to walk that path.Interesting question.

Desire and Imagination are very good indeed and worthy of development, which is why I will never submit to any religion, because to submit means to allow others in positions of self appointed authority or socially appointed authority, to tell me what I can and cannot desire/imagine, which subsequently restricts rather than furthers those two things.

Sometimes they do need to be reined in, no doubt, but that is not for someone else to do, and it is not the responsibility of some minister/social construct.  It is my responsibility alone, no one will police what I feel and think and I will not internalize someone else's bogus version of what I "should" desire or imagine, because after all that is what desire and imagination are, feeling and thinking.

They are for me and me alone, you can call this selfish, you can cry uncle, but I will not give these two things over to anyone else's "teachings" no matter how charismatic, and no matter how much they try to scare me.

That is true courage, in my book.  Main difference between what I have just described and the world's major religions, is that my understanding is grounded in history/anthropological perspective/logic/emotional honesty and not just culture, as is the case of most proponents of the major world religions.

It is when one starts to worship something, that one truly starts to kill one's own Desire and Imagination, and if the worship is full tilt than you can truly purify yourself in it's fire until you feel so One with It, that you neither Desire nor Imagine hardly anything else outside of It, or It's context.....

    And this is True Evil.

Desire and Imagination. How helpful are they? These virtues are very useful to me as i will always guard my desire and imaginative abilities not to allow negative thoughts, images and pictures like failure, sickness, disease, lack, hate, and all manner of impossibilities. Why? As a man thinks so will he become, you don't get sick, fail or poor until you incubate and accept it first in your imaginations. It so powerful and works that you can live happy, healthy and successful in the mist of a troubled world. When this type of "mindset" desires! It simply manifests in this particle world as desired and imagined. Most importantly I influence my thoughts and imaginative abilities by meditating on the scriptures.

I like your appreciation of the scriptures. As a man thinks so will he become-this is so correct.
It manifests.Your thoughts are the building blocks of the universe.
