I just stumbled onto something rather interesting, I published two hubs this morning, actually one Christmas story in two parts. The interesting thing I noticed is in the page view stats. Part One stats are slightly different than Part Two. I am assuming the difference most likely is readers not going on to Part Two from Part One, an occurrence that is not all that surprising but the numbers are very close.

A Question for those of you that have written Hubs in multiple parts, is there a good technique to use, other than the obvious of a good story, an added link to each part and grouping, to intice readers to both parts?

    The Hub Link is below

I've seen that on my multi hubs too. I think it's funny that others want to read one more than the other. All i do is add the link and leave it alone, eltting ppl read what they want to. lol they miss out on the rest that is their fault big_smile

Good Point. But, I think anyway, the best part of the story is in Part two

Go check out my "How to write bylaws" series of hubs and you'll see how I linked all 6 hubs together.  This works out well for this series.  I think Darkside wrote a hub on how to make a table of contents.

I read it and I think you linked it just fine...don't know why people read one part and not the other unless when they google it or something only one part comes up, they raed it and are oblvious to you plainly stating 'click here for part 2' or 'click here for part 1'

    Attention: Moderator

Please review your own rules before snipping

    http://hubpages.com/help/forum_rules

And perhaps the unofficial rules as put forth (and assumedly approved) by Darkside

    http://hubpages.com/hub/rules

An excerpt concerning forum rules is as copied below:

“ Linking to your own hubs when they have nothing to do with the topic of the thread is also generally frowned upon and sooner or later those links are snipped (removed) by the Moderator.
Also avoid starting a thread solely to promote your own hub/s. Even if you think you're being clever by jumping on the opportunity of the subject matter being in the news or a much talked about topic. People see through it very quickly.”

As the Forum Heading is “Need help, Ask Here” I am at a loss to your actions.
I violated none of the above with this posting unless you are considering Christmas a current event. You may perhaps want to reread my first post requesting such assistance and un-snip my link. I believe my request is quite clear, and that the link provided was for the convenience of any of whom might respond, for certainly to possibly answer my query one must actually review the hub.

Thank you for your kind attention.

One other interesting note, Part Two is now out pacing Part One.
    Curious

I made a content page for ten hubs that are part of a series called: "EasyFitness" have a look. For some reason it's my highest scoring hub, probably because it has so many nicely illustrated links and because each hub in the series links back to it to notify the reader of the full contents of the series. I daren't put the url up in case I get penalised but it's easy to find through my profile page.
I also wrote a story about a Violent Marriage in two parts (cross linked) and both parts seem to get the same amount of traffic.

Thank you for your reply Sue I found the way you put that series together quite interesting. If you do not mind I may use that type of formatting to break down an E-book into a hub style presentation.

It does give me an idea to add a small synopsis of each part beside the Part 1 and Part 2 links
