Wouldnt it be a good idea to put an symbol next to the hub titles listed in the 'my account', 'interaction', 'Comments you made' category to let the hubber know that there has been a movement on the commented hubs?

I gather that, at present, there is no quicker method other than laborously clicking and scrolling. If there was some sort symbol showing some activity on the hub, it would encourage me to return and check it out.  The way it is at present, I find that this feature is too time consuming and laborious (clicking and scrolling to find no activity, is rather disappointing).

What do you think?  Or is everyone else quite happy to lose time in doing this?  Maybe I am too impatient? x

I agree, the current setup isn't useful if you comment a lot.  The information given isn't relevant.  Why do we care how many comments have been made on someone else's Hub, or how long ago - all we want to know is whether a comment has been made since we commented.

I'd be happy to lose all the columns and just have a "New" symbol pop up when someone posted another comment.

They want us to be active in the community but make it hard work, don't they?  I cant be asked to sift through link after link, only to find that the hub that I want to follow has nothing more to add.  I would like to be able to keep an eye and catch up on these hubs, see what everyone after me has said.  I dont want to waste my time when i could be reading something of interest.

I've realized now with your post that this feature would be perfect, and would save some time for sure.

Dont you think that the way 'comments you made' feature is a pain!  Surely, it wouldnt be that hard to change? x

I agree with you, although it is difficult for me to comment on the difficulty since I have no idea what sort of coding is involved.  It would certainly be easier for us to use, though!smile

That's always true.  What we think is a small change can involve a mountain of reprogramming, and the team also has to consider its priorities.  But it never hurts to suggest ideas!

Denno, if you can't say anything useful, please shut up.  This particular forum is to discuss ideas and suggestions, not to piss around.  There are plenty of other places where you can lark about as much as you like.

hmmm...maybe a notation when the author comments on their own hub?? I wonder if it would be possible to differentiate the author's replies from others' comments?

I just learned that this issue is resolved by using the new feed feature.

On the right side below where it says "Filter By Type" you can select comments and there you are.

The feed is very facebookish, but I can now see how useful it is.
