    How about a true story?
    
    Picked up a few used books to read from a local store today.  The proprietor told me about a couple--also customers--who recently experienced the following:
    
    They live in a mobile home.  This particular model has the hot water heater located inside a closet.  Not long ago, the heater was acting up a bit.  The husband went to work on it...but committed the unpardonable sin of failing to mention his intentions to his wife.
    
    Wife came into the room, saw her husband lying on the floor with his head and shoulders inside the closet.  She lost it.  Started kicking and hitting the prone man, screaming at him,
    
    "You're not going to die on me now, you %!#@$$*J!!"
    
    Whereupon the husband scrambled hastily to his feet and advised his beloved,
    
    "If you don't stop kicking and punching me, I WILL be dead!!"
