Paul, I've noticed that a couple of times tonight when replying to comments in my own hubs, my own comments are auto-flagging as spam.
(Spare me the jokes, people!!)
It thanks for me submitting the comment and the comment disappears completely, and then when I reload its there and I have to approve it.
I suspect its something that happened when you moved the next hub location for us?
It hasn't happened every time, but has happened more than once.
Oh, I'm glad it's not just me! I posted a reply to a comment on one of my hubs, and it disappeared. I thought it might be waiting for me to approve it, but it just went. Completely. I tried again - same thing happened.
That was about an hour ago.
Yeah, same here and i always thought the problem was from my end...good to know i'm good to go!
The comment 'glitch' has happened to me a couple of times too. I was possitive it was me who messed up...
regards Zsuzsy

Look at that it just happened again. And now my comment shows up twice. Or maybe I just have double vision.

There is a glitch on the HP home page. It must be a glitch because the comments are visible on the actual hubs:When authors have their hubs moderated, comments are hidden until they are approved. However, as of today (Friday 11th) this changed. Even if the hubs are un-moderated and you...

Is anyone else having difficulty editing comments they make on hubs? All day yesterday and on some hubs today when I have needed to open up my comment to edit it I click on "edit your comment" and the page refreshes to the top of the page. It has meant having to leave further comments...

I know comments have been gone for a long time on HubPages and the various topical sites, such as HobbyLark and Owlcation, but I missed the discussion on why they were removed. Doesn't that adversely impact engagement? It's hard to know how my hubs are impacting readers or if they're making any...

Do you delete useless negative comments?I have seen this happen a few times (on my own hubs too) where people write senseless negative comments such as "this is horrible" without any real feedback or reasons why they dislike the article. I understand that no hub will please everyone, but...

Here's a puzzle:When I have a new comment on any of my articles, it shows up, as it always has, on the main HP feed page. From there, I can click on it, and be taken to the comment, and thence to the hub, if I choose, to respond.Sometimes it is also noted in the daily digest emails; sometimes...

What do you think of getting one-word comments? How do you feel when you get one-word comments on your hubs? I can't decide. I'm really pleased people bother to comment at all, but at the same time much prefer getting longer comments. I don't think I've ever left only a one-word comment on a hub or...
